Chapter 6 - Calling Home

Several Hours Later - British Embassy, Lagos

upon the arrival of the three at the embassy, they were greeted by a team of soldiers guarding the gate. "identify yourself" a guarding soldier said to the three as he approach them and then the two males in the vehicle gave him what seemed to be their papers. as soon as they confirmed them the three finally entered the embassy safely. it took them almost an hour to contact a special operations base outside of Africa but at least they were able to get in touch with Field, their commander who's still waiting at the camp in Gibraltar. they were eventually told that it will take longer than an afternoon for Jack, Yukino and Sgt. Brown to be picked up by the Royal Air Force since the support team would require training before a search and rescue operation. apparently, the three were already getting worried as they felt as if the hostiles were still following them in civillian vehicles and just as they thought about it, they began to hear an alarm, an explosion and the guarding soldiers yelling as the sounds of gunfire erupted from the entrance of the courtyard. bullets would suddenly fly into the windows in light speed. Jack, Yukino and Sgt. Brown quickly took cover as the sounds of Kalashnikov rifles became louder, serving as a sign of mercenaries and cultists slowly approaching the front door and when they finally entered the building, the guarding soldiers along with the three were alread hiding in cover. "wait here..." Jack whispered to Yukino and Brown and snuck into what seemed to be an armory for the guarding soldiers, it was full of SA80's, american M4's, german MP5's and G36C's and seemingly large amount of generic shotguns, sidearms and boxes of full ammo clips. he eventually took an M4 rifle, a italian SPAS-12 for Brown and a bag of ammo along with him. he suddenly opened fire at an armed cultist who was about to grab Yukino then fired away at the alerted enemies. it was a bloody battle, just Jack and Brown fighting off the opposing force just to protect an unarmed Yukino who was covering between them but it all went wrong after a few minutes when Brown spots a sniper. "sniper-- gahh!!" Brown yelled as he fell after being shot by the sniper. "Brown!? damn it!" Jack kept firing at the enemies then eventually killing the sniper. "Brown!" Jack crouched down to the sergeant. "it's okay, Parsons. it's just a russian round in the gut..." Brown responded. "they'll have medics coming around so you'll have to take her to extraction without me...now go...get out of here..." the sergeant said to Jack, telling the two to leave without him and so Jack and Yukino escaped in a stolen sedan just moments before the police arrived
