Paul

It's about 3:30. The movie is definitely over so I decided to give Danny a call.
"Hey Paul."
"Hey, did you kiss her?"
"Yeah, in front of her house. It was amazing."
"And you asked her out right?"
"Obviously."
"And she said yes?"
"Duh..."
"Nice job. Looks like my tricks work."
"Yeah they do. I'm at your house now by the way, unlock the basement door."
"Alright."
I hang up the phone and unlock the basement door. Danny walks in a minute later with 3 pizzas.
"So Danny how was the movie?"
"J found it pretty scary but I was just watching her the whole time so I don't really remember."
"Aw that's cute. Now let's watch some netflix and eat all these."
About 5 episodes into our binge watching Danny gets a call. I pause the show and try to listen to the phone call. It's all muffled. Whoever it is talks for like 4 minutes then Danny says, "Okay, okay relax. Just walk out of there, I'll grab you as soon as possible."
He hangs up the phone.
"Was that J?"
"Yeah, something happened with her mother, can she stay here tonight?"
"Yeah, yeah of course. Do you want me to come with?"
"Nah I think that'll scare her even more. She was fucking terrified."
At this point Danny already had on his black jacket over his green sweater and pizza high tops on that were mostly covered by his grey sweatpants.
"Alright go. I'll try to clean up a bit and I'll grab some blankets or whatever. You two share the couch. I'll take the loveseat."
"Okay bye see you in a bit."
