The heart fell. It collided with the floor creating an earth shattering sound. Blood stained our hands as the world
slowed. Everything was moving in slow motion and then it caught up. We were on the ground in seconds, explosions in the background. The injured were taken by their partners to get treated, but it seemed like as soon as they touched their partner, they were healed anyway. You didn't pick me up. You picked up her. I understood a little, I mean I had too big nose, slit on my eyebrow, glasses, tiny lips and my shape was like a blob, she was prettier, you looked better together. However, those thoughts only ran through my mind later. Because when I was lying on the battlefield of love, gaping wound in my chest, I could only focus on the pain, that seemed to numb everything else around me.
