As the kids walked down the gravel walkway, they heard the sound of boats across the water. They turned towards the river that fed into the lake, and to their surprise, three people were in a canoe, entering the realm of the lake, where the giant squid-like creature was resting at the bottom.
"No way," said Faithlynn.
"Yes way!" Yelled one a girl from the boat.
"It's Courtney and Matthew!" screamed Annelise.
The kids ran up to the shore of the lake.
"Hey guys!" yelled Matthew. "We thought we would make an entrance."
In the boat with them was Cho Chang.
"Luna was busy," Cho said. "So it's just me and these two."
She looked around, hoping to see Harry.
"Where's is he?" Cho asked herself.
"He hasn't arrived yet," Robert answered for her, knowing, along with the rest of his friends, who "he" was.
"It's great to see you guys!" Courtney exclaimed. "It's been, like, years!"
"Actually," Faithlynn interjected, "It's only been about 47 days since we last saw each other."
The others just stared at her.
"What? I've been waiting for us to reunite!"
The others laughed.
And then there was a loud crashing noise and a spark of green light that hit right in front of the kids.
They all screamed and ducked.
