Lucy's P.O.V.
"How do you fix this frikin' tent!?" Yelled a frustrated Gray. I laughed at his face.
It was a mix of confusion, anger and frustration.
"Alright, gimme" He immediately handed me the rods and I quickly assembled them. Next, I placed the cloth on and done!
"How come you were so fast?" he asked, an annoyed look written all over his face.
"I'm patient, you're not" I chuckled and made a grab for my packed snack. I dug in the lunch bag and found an apple. I placed it on my mouth, leaving it there for a moment. I placed the bag aside and held the apple in my hand.
"So, I brought the camera and the lighting in this place is perfect. Where do wanna start?" I asked, taking a bite from the apple in my hand.
"Ladybug? Butterfly?" he suggested.
I chuckled lightly and said, " I meant where Gray. Sure, we can try finding those but I can't assure you that those will be around here. And finding insects aren't easy especially when they're fast. It could have been birds since birds are nicer to take photos of."
"Let's go to a place with a lot of bushes" he stood up first and offered his both his hands.
I left the apple hanging on my mouth and took both his hands. I removed the apple from my mouth and said a short 'thank you'. He smiled in return and waited for me to get the things that I needed.
I bent down and grabbed my camera and cap before we headed to the bushes. When we neared the bushes, I slowly bent down and eyed everything until my eyes landed on a ladybug, luckily. I readied my camera, positioned it and snap! First picture done!
I continued the rest until we got over 5 different insects. We plopped down on the log as our benches.
"I'm not a fan of stuff like insects but I enjoyed it" Gray said, as he started to rip open a pack of marshmallows. He grabbed a long stick and inserted 5 marshmallows at once. He placed it over the fire until it turned a bit brown. He put it near his mouth and blew it. Then he looked to me.
"Want?" Motioning to the stick of marshmallows.
I nodded my head. He handed me the stick and I took I carefully pulled off a marshmallow from the stick and placed it in my mouth. It was squishy in the inside but a little crispy in the outside. It was warm and perfect and I knew what I would match it with. I made my way to my bag and grabbed my jug filled with hot choco. I twisted it open and sipped.
"Hm.." I sighed. I carried it back to our campfire and handed the stick back to Gray. I quickly swallowed and thanked him.
After some time of eating and chatting, a girl stood up and yelled, "Swimming Time!" and hurried to the lake nearby. I shook my head at her and laughed. I was heading back to the tent when a hand held my wrist.
"You're not gonna swim?" he asked. I shook my head in response. I wasn't in the 'Go!' mood.
"Come on! Let's have fun!" He insisted, tugging lightly on my wrist.
Honestly, I was looking forward to swimming earlier but my body was exhausted from crawling around in the bushes and up on trees and stuff. My body was sore to sum it up. But I really wanted to get to know Gray a bit and have fun so I finally sighed and nodded with a smile. He grinned and ran towards the lake.
He stopped a bit and faced me, "Better be there Luce" and ran off.
I made my way to the tent and got my dark blue bikini. I quickly wore it and grabbed my fluffy red towel and wrapped it around me. I got out of the tent and dashed to the lake. When I arrived, most of the people were there already, swimming, chatting and having fun. I walked towards the edge of the lake and sat down, the water slightly touching me.
"Boo!" I turned to see Natsu.
"Hi" I greeted.
"Aw man, you didn't get scared" he pouted. I stuck my tongue at him.
"Not that easily" I said and turned my attention back to the lake.
"You're not gonna swim?" He plopped down beside me and I noticed he was wet. His hair wasn't as spiky and it was a bit darker in shade. There were drops of water dripping on the side of his face, his abdomen and- Shit! What's wrong with me? I shook my head lightly when I realized I was checking him out.
"Were you checking me out?" he asked, smirking his full-on smirk.
"N-no" I stuttered slightly. Well, stupid me.
"In denial, eh?" he said and chuckled.
"Am not" I said firmly. Well, trying too. My cheeks were hot and I tried to hide it. The sun was almost setting and the people around the lake increased in number.
"Aw, you're so cute" he pinched both my cheeks.
"Hey let go!" I slapped both his hands away. I blushed even harder because of that.
He suddenly stood up and offered me his hand.
"Let's go swim" I immediately took it and stood up, letting the towel fall off. His eyes traveled down my body and I think I blushed harder, if possible. He kept checking me out until I said his name.
"Natsu!"
"Huh?" his eyes snapped to mine.
"You're checking me out" I smirked this time.
"U-uhmm. No I wasn't" Then he let go of my hands and headed to the lake. He began to swim and when he slightly turned, his cheeks were tinged with pink. I laughed at that. I mean, Badboy Natsu is... blushing! How adorable!
I got in the lake soon after my laughing session. The water was slightly cold but I could tolerate that. I continued into the deeper part until the water reached my shoulders.
Suddenly two hands held my shoulders and I was forcefully pushed into the water. I tried getting up for some air but I was pushed more down. I opened my eyes and caught a glimpse of a person wearing a pair of swim shorts. Knowing it was a guy, I made a quick turn and kicked him where the sun doesn't shine. He let go of my shoulders and took the opportunity to catch my breath.
I heard a cry of pain and turned to see well, Natsu.
"So you try to drown me now?" I said.
"I was joking and you kicked me.. You know where" His face was a mix of anger and pain. Not surprising though. I coughed a bit before getting out of the water and grabbed my towel. I continued to dry myself from head to toe until a pair of hands snaked around my waist.
"You know that you don't mess with me" said a familiar husky voice.
"Oh come on Natsu, you almost drowned me" I reasoned, a shivered a bit because a gust of wind blew by. With that, he held me tighter.
"Come with me" he stated and dragged me away from the lake. He kept dragging me until we reached a tree. He pinned me against the tree and he leaned close until his mouth reached my ear.
"Payback time" he whispered.
Shit.
