Lucy P.O.V.

"Natsu.. I don't know if I can do this." I trailed off, worried. I mean, why wouldn't I be? Today is the day I decided to go to school and another thing to worry about is... I'm now Natsu's girlfriend. There might be some b*tches raging at that fact. I don't wanna be victim again. 

"Come on Lucy. Please, I wanna show everyone that the only girl I love is you" 

My heart fluttered at that and looked down blushing. Me and Natsu are currently sitting together on a bench at a nearby park. His eyes were around my shoulder as he looked down at me.

"Aw, look at that. Lucy is blushing" he cooed and pinched my cheek. I slapped his hand away and looked at him seriously. "Natsu, really. What if they go b*tch - slapping mode. You know what I mean." I said.

"Hey, don't worry so much. Okay?" he stared intently at me and I just smiled and leaned in to give him a quick peck. I pulled back and turned to look at the playground filled with kids. One little girl with blonde hair was climbing the monkey bars, which was for kids of course. She lost grip and fell, well she fell on a boy though. That ought to hurt. I looked at the two with concern and saw the girl roll off and repetitively apologized. The boy sat up and gave her a toothy grin. 

I ended smiling at the scene. It was so cute.

"Why are you smiling?" Natsu asked. I turned to him with a smile and shook my head. I stood up and dragged him with me. I lead him to the car we used to drive here. We both got in and he drove us back to my house. As soon as we arrived in my front porch, he turned to me and said,

"Don't worry so much. You'll do fine and don't worry about those people who are against you. I'll protect you" My heart fluttered. "I'll pick you up tomorrow." I nodded and I kissed him on the lips before exiting the car.  I waved at him and he was off.

I entered my house which was eerily quiet today. Something was off. I headed up to my mom's bedroom. I neared it and placed my ear on the door. 

I could hear my mom crying softly as she repeated the same words.
