I Don't Think You'll Ever Want To Love Me

"You don't think he's going to snitch on you about the whole pool thing, do you?" Tony asked looking around at all of us.

"I don't know. His parents looked pretty convinced that he had fallen into the pool on his own." Vic answered, sitting down on a stool.

I turned towards Cam when his phone started ringing.

"It's a text from El." He muttered as he scanned through it.

He let out a sigh. "He's not snitching on you guys. He's snitching on her."

"What could he possibly have on her?" I asked annoyed by Matt's antics.

Cam sighed again. He leaned on the counter staring at his fisted hands. "Her dad is kind of strict about her dating anyone, let alone hanging out with a whole group of guys."

"What!? So he's going to rat on her for hanging out with us?"

"Yeah. She's...freaking out right now and I just hate that I can't do anything about it."

I stood up. I really don't want to do it, but I know I have to. I know how it feels when you're taking away from someone you care about so much.

I placed my hand on Cam's shoulder.

"Don't worry I'll handle it." I told him.

I grabbed my skateboard from under the counter and walked towards the door.

"Don't any of you follow me." I pointed at them all.

I ran out and skated away from the shop as fast as I could, before they could stop me or I could stop myself.

I skated through the streets and I felt the burning in my legs when I finally arrived at my destination and jumped off my skateboard. I ran up the front steps of the house and rang the bell waiting impatiently.

I crossed my fingers, hoping Matt didn't come out and open the door. My heart was beating fast in anticipation. My eyes zeroed in on Matt's car, wishing I could destroy his precious car.

I turned back when I heard the door being opened to reveal...his mom. Oh thank god.

"Oh hello Mia. I'll get Matt for you." she smiled at me and was already heading inside when I stopped her.

"No it's fine. I'm actually here to see Elissa?" I asked. To say she was shocked would be an understatement. I had come over to theire house plenty of times but not once did I voluntarily speak to their daughter.

"Oh uh well come on in." She stuttered out after the shock wore off.

"Her room is upstairs, first door to the right." she directed. I nodded and headed up towards her room as quietly as I could.

I knocked on her door hoping she would hear me. I can her music coming out of hers and Matt's room. After a few seconds she finally opened her door. She had an irritated expression on her face.

"What do you want now Matt!?" she snapped. Her eyes widened when she realized who was actually at her door. "Oh sorry I thought you were Matt."

She leaned out of her bedroom to look in the direction of Matt's room before pulling me into her room. She closed and locked the door.

"Sit down." she said as she turned down her music so it just became background music.

I sat down on her bed hesitantly.
