Part 16

Sasuke's POV

I was getting furious in Gaara's taunting.

"Papa?" Chisuke said, it seemed that she calls Gaara that,

"Excuse us, Sasuke... Chisuke and I need some Father-daughter time..." He said, father-daughter time?? I thought...

Instead of continuously trying to annoy myself with his presence, I went to Naruko to ask about the situation.

"Oi, Dobe..." I said, I was pissed,

"Who you calling 'dobe' ?" she said,

"Why is Gaara all fatherly to Chisuke? ... and why is he here?" I asked in a mad tone,

"Sasuke... you sound like a child who just got his favorite possession taken," she said,

"I'm asking for answers, not insults," I said,

"Gaara has taken the role of being a father-figure to Chisuke... It became like this since Chisuke turned two. I think you just have to accept it that you're still new to Chisuke... It would be best if you don't get too jealous of Gaara... He's just doing this for Chisuke," she said,

For Chisuke?? Or for you? I thought to myself, no one would just suddenly take the role of a father

without motives... Naruko's being too careless...

"So, you and Gaara are..." I said,

"huh?? No... that's absurd... Gaara is just like me... we just feel the need to help each other... I think you already know what I mean," she said,

"Whatever," I answered back and walked out of the apartment.

Naruko's POV

Sasuke left the apartment with a bit of bad vibes around himself. I continued to do where I left off, cleaning the whole place before Gaara and Chisuke arrive. By the time it was 4 pm, everything was into place. A sudden opening of the front door caught my attention,

"Mama! We're home!" Chisuke shouted,

"Welcome home... And it seems that your Papa is here too," I said,

"Papa came to my school and he gave me a gift," she shared,

"What is it?" I asked,

"I haven't checked it yet... but I'm sure Papa gave me something I'll like... Mama, I'm going to the bedroom to change my clothes and to check my gift..." she said as she ran,

"Be careful, Chisuke..." I said,

"How have you been, Naruko?" Gaara greeted,

"Well... And you, Gaara? I hope that things are going well in your side," I said. I notice him getting close to me and being drawn to him as well,

"Naruko, you idiot... You didn't have to come back here if it's hard... You could have just stayed..." He said with a hint of pain in his words,

"Gaara, it such a worrywart... I'm fine... And Chisuke is happy here having so many people taking care of her," I said,

"And Sasuke? It seems that he already knows about Chisuke... How did he take it?" He asked,

"Yeah... He learned about it somehow... We already talked about that matter and came to a conclusion to always be there for Chisuke," I said,

"Naruko... You know that I have certain feelings for you... and I know that you are not ready to be in a relationship because you are still in love with him but... if you're only giving yourself pain by being here and witnessing him moving on while you stay and keep everything to yourself... I would rather take you away from here by force," he said with determination in his eyes,

"Idiot... that's against the law," I said as I giggled,

"Well, if it is the only way to keep you from getting hurt... I'd rather go against the law," He said with a smile in his face,

"Still sweet as ever... But I don't want anyone to think that I'm taking advantage of you because you have feelings for me... and I think that I'm almost ready to move on... I just need more time to become accustomed to the idea of him getting married off to someone else," I said,

"Then, if you say so... I will be waiting," he answered. We suddenly here a giggling sound in a certain direction and when we looked at my right, we saw Chisuke smiling and teasing us,

"Mama and Papa are being sweet to each other... Mama... Are you getting married to Papa?" She asked,

This kid really... thinking about matured things while having such a cute, innocent face. I thought,

"...Soon..." Gaara suddenly answered, I was shocked,

"Yey! I can finally have a complete family with Mama and Papa..." Chisuke said happily as she hugged our waist, "Mama... Papa... Thank you..." she added, If this is the right decision... I only have to think about Chisuke from now on...
