Naruko's POV

I sat nervously in my couch as I glance back to the wall clock and to the door repeating this for almost 2 hours since Sasuke left, running after Chisuke. Iruka was leaning on the wall with his hands crossed. I felt so uneasy not knowing where and how Chisuke is. A sudden click from the door made me jerk back to its direction. Sasuke has arrived with a sleeping Chisuke on his back. I felt a great amount of relief. Sasuke shushes me for Chisuke's sake. He walks to the bedroom to tuck her in.

Iruka walk towards me and said, "Naruko, I going on ahead. I know that you and Sasuke has a lot to talk about..." he kisses my forehead and left the apartment silently for Chisuke. I looked at the last place Iruka was standing,

"Naruko..." Sasuke called out softly as he slowly lock the door of the bedroom. I turned to face him and I had so many questions to ask, yet all I could muster to say was, "Yes?"

"We need to talk..." he said in a demanding tone. He came near me and grab hold of both my hands. My eyes wondered to the cold hands. "This time... Let me decide... This time... I'll handle things my own way... And my way is to stay for you and Chisuke... No matter how stubborn, scared, irrational and an idiot you act... I have promised to Chisuke to never let go of the both of you..." he declared, my eye sight blurred and I felt warm water rushing down my face, I couldn't stop them from flowing. He pulls me and hugs me tightly, he cups my cheeks and made me look straight to his eyes,

"Naruko, I love you and you know that. We aren't young anymore. The world isn't always fair and it's never black or white..." he said as he wipes the tears with his thumb, "... and because of that, the choices I have isn't just either you and Chisuke or the child I have with Sakura... what I did can never be changed or erase... but I'll make it work out..." he added,

"Sasuke?" I asked as he slowly kneels in front of me,

"I wasn't prepared... I'm sorry... all I can offer to you is me and this cold hands," he said as he hold my right hand firmly, "Naruko... No matter what, I promise to belong only to you and if you allow me... I would like to be bound to you as your significant other and raise Chisuke, this time, along with you... Let me be the husband of the woman I treasure and the father of my own child,"

"teme..." was all I could say before I knelt done to embrace him, "... Like you didn't even know my answer already," I said, he returned the embrace and answered, "I know, dobe... I just wanted to hear it coming from you..."

I released him and said "Teme... yes... I'd be more than happy to..." as I looked at his face and noticed how flustered he was as his eyes tear up with what I believe a mutual feeling of happiness...
