Start all over again (SasuxFemNaru)

Part 31

Sakura's POV

I walked out of that apartment, barely keeping myself from crying. I walk down a dark alley when suddenly a familiar presence called out my name,

"Sakura, what do you aim in telling them?" He asked,

"He has an obligation to this child I'm carrying, Sai... I did what I have to do," I said,

"Really? I wonder if your realized that you are not only hurting them but yourself?" he confidently said with a tinge of worry in his voice,

"Hurting myself? You know God gave me this child, so that I can keep Sasuke by my side, Sai... Don't you see? Even Kami-sama sides with me!" I said, but somehow it sounded empty and unjustified,

"Is that how you see it?" he said and paused for awhile as if waiting for me to argue back at him, "... It can be that he gave you his child so that you may leave him be and be happy with a fraction of him, his child?" he argued,

"Why am I talking with a man who doesn't even know what love is? Sai, if you really care about us, then leave us be... We can manage... I can manage..." I said as I start to walk away,

"Yes, you manage to make a fool of yourself," he said behind me and I pretended that I heard nothing. I walk away,

Sai's POV

Today, as I walked down the streets of Konoha, I found myself looking Sakura, who from a distance looked very ill and weak. I followed her to make sure that my assumptions are wrong. Street by street I kept my eye on her but when a blind curve came I was greeted with a Sakura lying on the floor.

I took her to the Hospital. As I gazed upon her sleeping figure in bed, I thought to myself, 'how could an insanely strong woman like her get this weak?' and thought of many possible answers but nothing seems to be fitting at all. While in deep thought, I was interrupted by one of the nurse who seemed happy to see me,

"Congratulations, your wife is pregnant," She cheerfully said to me, but before I can correct her, a moaning sound can be heard on the bed and turned my head towards that direction, I walk to her,

"Are you feeling alright?" I asked but I saw in her face was more than alright, she was overflowing with delight,

"Did she said I was pregnant?" she asked,

"Yes, Ma'am. That's what I said. It seems that you fainted due to stress, you should take care of yourself..." the nurse turned to me, "... and you should take care of your wife," she added,

"I'm not her husband," I finally said, "... I'm her friend," this earned a blush of embarrassment on her face as she apologized and hurriedly left the room,

"I'm pregnant with Sasuke's Child..." She utters as her tears starts to pour,

"What's the matter? Why are you crying?" I asked,

"Don't you get it? I'm carry Sasuke's child, this changes everything," she says with joy,

"What would Naruko think of this?" I asked,

"Who cares what she thinks?" she answers back, "don't tell anyone, not even Sasuke... I want to be the first to tell him," she added. I nodded and stood there, looking at her as she joyfully caresses her belly. 

By nightfall, I escorted her out of the hospital and planned to walk her home when we spot Naruko and Sasuke together. They looked very much happy beside each other.

 They were about to reach Naruko's apartment when she runs there to meet them. I was from a distance and bare hear their conversation but I felt that this was not a good time to butt in. 

I see Sasuke trying to get her to leave and then, for some reason, Naruko invites her in.

I could have left her and went home but I had a feeling that I needed to speak to her. After less than an hour, Sakura came out and was walking rather vulnerable,

"Sakura, what do you aim in telling them?" I asked,

"He has an obligation to this child I'm carrying, Sai... I did what I have to do," she replied,

"Really? I wonder if your realized that you are not only hurting them but yourself?" I said,

"Hurting myself? You know God gave me this child, so that I can keep Sasuke by my side, Sai... Don't you see? Even Kami-sama sides with me!" she miserably says with a hint of doubt lingering on her lips,

"Is that how you see it?" I said doubting her words, "... It can be that he gave you his child so that you may leave him be and be happy with a fraction of him, his child?" I added,

"Why am I talking with a man who doesn't even know what love is? Sai, if you really care about us, then leave us be... We can manage... I can manage..." she said as she walks away, her back facing me,,

"Yes, you manage to make a fool of yourself," I said loud enough for her to hear but it seems that she tries to ignore my sentiments.

Sorry for the super late update.. ^_^ Meanwhile in my life, I failed a subject! Hahahaha... -_- what am i doing with my life? 

Anyways... I won't be able to update much when Christmas Vacation comes but don't worry i'll try to keep tabs on the story.. Thank you all for the support!
