Birthday Party

Okay, so this is like a rant author's note.

I got this idea from me and my friend's chat. She asked if her cousin, my crush, asked me to go to his birthday party in May. I said no. Actually, we chatted and chatted until she sent me a screenshot about her and my crush's chat. She was invited by the way, and when she asked if I was invited or not, my crush said:

"I don't know."

Anyways, the story with Chiba will not be as disappointing and heartaching as this, so anyways, enjoy!

AUTHOR'S P.O.V

"What? Chiba's birthday is on May 20? How can you not tell me this?" You slammed your hand on Rio's table. You both were at her room at this moment since you both planned to just chilll at her room.

"Yep, and apparently, you're the only one who's not invited." Rio said. Poor reader-chan.

Your phone beeped. You opened it and it was a message from Chiba saying that you're invited.

And along that message is a note saying:

'Sorry for not telling you earlier, the signal was bad.'

How sweet.

"Rio, he invited me." Your mouth slowly formed into a big smile as Rio pats your head, congratulating you with that gesture of hers.

"Better make him something that's worth to give." Rio said.

"Oh yeah, what should I give him?"

"I don't know?"

"I know the thing!" You smiled and stood up, grabbing your things.

"I'm going to cook, so bye Rio! See you!" You said and grabbed went home immediately.

And you know what you have in mind?

A hard boiled egg.

What? It's his favorite.

Since he likes punk rock bands, you're going to write fluffy romantic punk rock lyrics onto the eggs and give it to him.

"Whew! Finally that was done!" You removed your apron and decided to sleep, because tomorrow is the big day.

Tomorrow is his birthday.

You wake up to your alarm and happily shut it down. You woke up two hours from the time when Chiba's party starts. You went to the bathroom and showered.

Well, since today was special, what you're wearing your very precious picked out outfit. It was good on you.

You fixed your hair and did the final touches to look neat. After that, you grabbed your bag and went downstairs to grab your present.

It was absolutely 30 minutes in time. You went out and started walking to Chiba's house which was a 30 minute walk.

When you reached his house, you knocked on his door. Hayami opened it for you, and she was the only one there.

"Oh. (Y/n)-chan. You were late. The party ended just an hour ago." Wait what? Itona told you the right details... You gripped on your present and gave it to Hayami.

"Just tell Chiba, happy birthday." You smiled, with one tear escaping each of your eye. You turned around and walked back to your house.

But suddenly, you have the urge to punch Itona in the face. You headed out again, and went to Terasaka's house and saw that Itona was about to enter the gate.

Boom.

You grabbed his ear and pulled it along with you.

"What the hell is wrong with you?! You told me the wrong details!" You said.

"It's a prank." Itona calmly said.

"Nevermind." You released his ear and went back to your house.

"You didn't come yesterday! Why?" Rio asked while you walked to school.

"Because Itona told me the wrong details." You sighed. Rio pouted.

"Mou! That was the only chance!" Rio grumbled.

"I know, that." You laughed at Rio. Being the not-so-smile-ish person you are, Rio's jaw dropped.

"You laughed... YOUR LAUGH IS ADORABLE!" She grabbed you and hugged, swaying side to side.

"Haha, funny."

"Minna-san! Today, we have a very special event happening!" Rio yelled. She looked at you and kept making weird faces. You laughed at it and smiled. While smiling, Rio pulled you inside the classroom.

"Wow..."

"She smiled..."

"And laughed."

You weren't used to the sudden burst of attention towards you. You hung your head low and took your seat.

"WHO SMILED?!" Koro-sensei asked, bursting through the door with a camera.

"(Y/n)-chan did." They all pointed to you.

"I know what will make her laugh!" Oh no.

"Rio...." She pulled up her phone.

"Ritsu-chan!~ Show a vid of (funniestvideo)." Ritsu did and so, you laughed.

"That was the best thing ever." You sighed happily and smiled.

"NYUYAAAAAH!" Koro-sensei started taking pictures of you smiling.

"RIO! MY BAG!" You ran after Rio who threw your bag to Chiba. You stopped at Chiba and looked away.

"Nevermind that bag."

"Thanks for the gift. I loved it. It was yummy too. Thank you for it." You suddenly looked at Chiba.

"You're welcome." You said.

"Anyways, here's my thank you gift. Close your eyes." You closed you eyes and suddenly felt a pair of lips onto yours.

"Will you do the honors of being my girlfriend?"
