CHAPTER 20

Saturday

It was 5:00 am in the morning and Avinash was still tossing in his bed, unable to sleep. After endless attempts, he got up and made a cup coffee for himself, when someone knocked the door.

He walked towards the door, will hopes that Riddhima returned soon, he clicked the door.

"Glad that you are awake!" Gautam hurriedly entered inside, and Avinash rolled his eyes.
'What the hell is he up to? And why the hell he ruined my night?' Avinash thought.
"What? Are you just going to stand there?" The annoyed voice came again.

"I'm in a terrible mood, all thanks to you. So speak up and leave." He walked towards the couch.

"It was important man! I had to!" He explained.

"What was so urgent that you to took sudden trip to your native place?"

"Tayaji was really guilty because of her behaviour towards Sneha, after I explain her everything of course. She wanted to meet me, I couldn't resist. But the trip was useful for me as well." Gautam smiled happily.

"How?"

"I got a perfect gift for my Lady!"

"You reached...?"

"4 hours ago."

"And you didn't come home because....?"

"I was making some last minute arrangements." Gautam said with a satisfied smile.

"Look, I have a extremely important meeting tomorrow. I have to make various preparations and arrangements and here, I look like Jhonny Depp from walking dead now! I can't afford to lose this. So leave." Avinash said in annoyance.

"Man, come on! It's a serious matter. Your wife forgave you, mine didn't."

He sighed "I'm terminating this conversation and you are going home, now."

"Yes! It's time for us to leave, anyway. I will send Riddhima back." Gautam said and marched towards the door.

"Wait, what? You are going to wake her up?" He frowned.

"Obviously."

"I'm coming with you." Avinash said and walked briskly outside.

Lightly and very carefully Gautam pushed open Sneha's door.

Avinash moved, picked Riddhima carefully in his arms and left, walking slowly with no intentions to wake her up.

Gautam moved towards Sneha and sat next to bed. "Hey.. Sneha.. get up." He moved her lightly, but she didn't bulge.
"Sneha!" He yelled a little louder.

"What?" She got up and started crying. "Why can't you let me sleeppp!!!"

He wanted to laugh but it was not the right moment. "We need to leave, baby."

"No, I want to sleep." She covered her face, with her hands.

"Okay then!" He picked her like a sack of potato and placed her on his shoulder.

"You are a moron." She whispered and drifted back in her sleep.

Riddhima woke up with a start as she was soaked all in water, literally. The moment she noticed her surroundings she frowned and then it deepened when she saw the person standing next to her bed with a bucket. "What the hell?"

"Good morning to you too.. Come on get ready." Nidhi grinned.

"You soaked me all in water!" She jumped out of her bed.
