~Chapter 3~

•Eunice•
I gasped awake when I heard mom speak. I opened my eyes.
"Time for school honey" she smiled making me groan.
"I don't wanna go to school" she said making her chuckle.
"Come on, before your dad goes "Wizard" on you" she joked making me chuckle and sit up.
"Ok I'll be be downstairs for breakfast" I said making her smile.
"I bet your father has your bag and breakfast ready for you downstairs" she smiled making me nod.

I sighed and played with my fingers, waiting in the van. I was nervous. My parents told me I'm going to Phoenix Drop High. Go Phoenix! they said they both graduated there and that's when they became friends and then long after  they were in their 20s, they married each other. I smiled. I then heard the doors shut making me look up.
"Alright. You ready?" Dad asked when he looked at me. I smiled and nodded. Mom turned back to me.
"Don't worry honey? You'll meet great friends. I promise" she said making me smile. Her promises are the best, she never breaks them. It's like she has the power to read the future but she just has faith. I smiled. The van started and dad drove off.

Dad parked up in front of the big high school. I looked at my window seeing many kids walking around the pathway to the school doors. I hung my backpack on one shoulder and I opened the door. I shut the door and walked over to moms window.
"Have a good first day ok?" Mom said making me nod.
"Break a leg peanut" dad said making me chuckle and wave. I turned to the school and took a deep breath. Here we go.

I walked through the doors seeing a hallway of lockers on each side. I gulped. I walked forward. Many kids were staring at me. I took a look at the people walking passed me. They all looked like normal kids. Jocks, nerds, gossip girls, dramaqueens, emo. seemed pretty normal. But once I walked passed a few people wearing black, they glared at me. I gasped a little bit and kept walking. They had golden eyes and pale skin. It was odd, have they ever been to the beach to get a tan? I shook my head and kept walking. I looked down at my schedule seeing a sticky note with my locker and combination on it. I then looked up being greeted by a girl. I jumped a little. She smiled.
"Hi! You must be the new girl" she greeted making me smile awkwardly. She took my hand and shook it fast and strong. I jumped a little when she let go. I held my hand.
"Ow" I said making her gasp.
"Opps! I'm so sorry! Gentle one eh? Well, you'll be just fine. I'm Katherin by the way" she said making me smile.
"Hi, I'm Eunice" I said making her smile.
"Hi Eunice! So do you need any help getting to your locker?" She asked smiling. I noticed she had pale skin and bright golden brown eyes. Her hair was black that was cut until her shoulders. She wore a grey shirt under her black jacket.
"Um yea, sure" I said making her smile and take my hand. Then she ran so fast and stopped in front of the locker. Woah
"What the?" I asked making me look around and stopped at Katherin.
"How did you-" I asked making her chuckle.
"Yes I know, I'm fast. But it's just cause I'm happy I met a new friend" she said making me smile. fast? She ran down the hall in just one second. Odd once again.
"Alright here you go, just empty out your bag and pack in there, I'll show you to your next class if you want?" She asked making me smile.
"Sure, Um I have..." I said but once I read the first class, it said Brewery. I crossed my eyebrows.
"What's, brewery?" I asked embarrassed making me smile.
"It's when we brew potions" she said making me just stare at her confused.
"Um right uhh" I said chuckling awkwardly making her smile.
"Don't worry, it's ok, you're new here so don't worry about it." She smiled making me smile and turn to my locker and punch in my combination.

•Katherin•
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket making me take it out. It was dad.
"Have you met Eunice yet?" He texted making me smile and text back.
"Yes, but she seems different from all the other new kids, she didn't even know what brewery was" I texted making him respond.
"Katherin, I know you think she is a "special" like us, but do you remember when I told you that story about Humans?" He texted making me respond.
"Yes?"
"Well, she, is a human" he texted making me look at Eunice.
"She's human, meaning no powers of anything?" I texted making him text back.
"Yes but she's not those bad humans. She is a good kind hearted one, just like her parents but their not human" he texted making me look at her again.
"Does she know she's the only human in this world?" I texted making dad text back.
"She will find that out. You have to tell her the truth ok, some time at lunch when she's curious about all the other students, I bet she'll be asking" he texted making me put my phone away.
"So let's go?" I asked smiling making her close her locker.
"Yup, let's go" she smiled making her follow right behind me.

•Eunice•
Walking by many students, it just made me seem to stare at a few of them. They looked different, act different and eat different. they all seemed to look at me like I'm someone their not. I gulped but then Katherin elbowed me a little.
"Are you ok?" She asked making me nod. She turned to a door making her walk in with me following behind her. She introduced me to the teacher.
"Mrs. Green. You must be Eunice. You're parents were the best students I've ever taught" she smiled making me nod. She looked like she was in her 30s. Mom and dad must have graduated from here a long long time ago, how old would she have been?
"Alright dear go sit over there beside Jayden" she said making her point to an empty spot next to a boy wearing a blue shirt. He waved making me walk over to him. The kids were staring at me making me gulp and sit down. I looked at Jayden and smiled.
"Hi I'm Jayden, you must be Eunice right?" He asked making me nod. He had dark brown eyes with black hair. But there was something different about him.
"Alright class, open up your books and write these notes down" Mrs. Green said making me pull open my bag and take my notebook out. I placed it on the table along with a pen.

While I was writing notes down, I had a feeling someone was watching me. I looked around but everyone was writing notes down. I looked back down at my notebook and continued to write.

The bell rang making everyone stand and leave the room. I packed up my things and headed to the door. I walked out seeing a huge crowd of stomping kids running to their lockers. I gulped mad squeezed through and managed to make it to my locker. I nearly became a pancake walking through the crowd. The kids there were strong, and big. It was not the same as my old high school. I was starting to go curious. Fast speed, different coloured eyes, weird classes, different kinds of kids that I've never seen before. What's going on?

My next class was Gym. This was the only class I knew, the rest were classes I've never even studied. I entered the gym seeing it was huge! There were vines growing in each corner of the ceiling, the ropes kids were climbing were black and it looked like there's were spikes on it. I gasped a little.
"Eunice!" I heard someone call seeing it was Katherin. She jogged over to me with another girl.
"Eunice this is Praise, Praise this is Eunice" she introduced us making me smile and take out a hand.
"Hi" I said making her smile and shake my hand. Same thing again, strong grip and fast.
"Hi New girl, how was your first class?" She asked making me hold my hand.
"Umm first time doing that class" I said making Praise gasp.
"Really? What classes did they have at your old school?" Praise asked, I was about to answer until Katherin said.
"Hey, you should go and get changed before the teacher calls you out" Katherin said making me nod. She pointed at the change rooms.

•Katherin•
"She's human?" Praise whispered making me nod.
"Don't tell anyone else! The vampires will feast on her if we do" I warned making her nod.
"When are we gonna tell her she's in a "different" world?" She asked making me shrug.
"I don't know, I bet when it's lunch she come asking me what hell is going on in this school" I said making Praise nod.
