•Eunice•
Everyone was fast asleep, leaving me to be the last one awake. I couldn't sleep, because I was too afraid to even close my eyes knowing I might end up having visions instead of dreams. I was sitting cross-legged on my bed with the sheet covering my legs, I had a pillow sitting on top of my legs and I just rested my elbows on it. I sighed and brushed my hair back with my hand. The silence made it even worse to not think about the vision I had earlier when I faced Katherin, makes me question why I had them anyway. Something doesn't feel right here.
"Eunice?" I heard someone groan making me turn to the bed next to me. John was sitting up, rubbing his eyes.
"Sorry," I whispered seeing him look at me while squinting his eyes.
"What are you doing still up?" He asked making me shrug.
"I can't sleep," I said seeing him pull his legs off the edge of the bed and face me.
"You do know it's 3 in the morning right, Athena wants us to wake up at 5," he said making me nod.
"I know, I just don't feel tired," I said, seeing him stare at me.
"You don't feel tired because you feel paranoid," He said, knowing he read my mind. I looked at him.
"Isn't it bad to read people's minds?" I asked seeing him smile.
"I only do it when it's necessary," he said making me smile and look down at my sheets. "You're worried about having visions?" He asked making me nod.
"The book freaked me out a bit and then earlier I nearly had visions when Katherin woke up," I said seeing him shrug.
"Look they could be wrong," he said but I shook my head.
"Remember when I had visions before, they came true, the fact that I nearly had visions near Katherin worries me, what if I go bad and kill someone?" I asked seeing him throw a pillow at me. I frowned at him.
"Stop it, you're not going to turn bad or kill anyone, you're just a little paranoid," he said making me throw the pillow back at him. A moment of silence filled the room making me turn to him.
"What are you doing up?" I asked seeing him stand and walk.
"To get some water, my mouth is dry," he said making me throw another pillow at him as he tried to speed up and dodge the pillow.
"You made me apologize for waking you when I really didn't," I said hearing him chuckle and go downstairs.
"Hey, what are you two doing?" I heard Kirk groan as he sat up in his bed.
"Sorry," I spoke quietly hopefully not waking anyone else up. He looked at me.
"What are you doing up at this hour?" He asked making me shrug.
"Ask John when he gets up, I'm gonna try to get some sleep," I said seeing him turn towards the stairs where John went down.
"Ugh, fine. I'm up now so," he said as I laid down and closed my eyes.•John•
I took a sip of the cold water in the little mini kitchen and sighed after I pulled the cup away. I heard someone come down the stairs seeing it was Kirk.
"Hey, sorry to wake you," I said seeing him shake his head.
"Nah, whatever, I was thirsty anyways," he said as he took a cup and filled it with water. After he took a sip he asked me something.
"Was Eunice still up?" He asked making me nod.
"She couldnt sleep because she was paranoid about having visions. She thinks she might turn bad and kill someone," I said seeing him look at me and cross his eyebrows.
"Are you kidding? Her visions could be wrong," he said making me nod.
"That's what I said," I told him and he shook his head. "But she mentioned nearly having visions when she was around Katherin which was a bit strange, why would she have visions around her only?" I asked seeing him look at me shrug.
"I don't know, she is a demon as well as Praise. And you know they don't act normal up here." He said making me nod. I then thought about why Eunice had been close to having visions. Maybe Something was going to happen to Katherin. Or something bad already happened.
Once we both finished our glasses of water, we quietly walked back upstairs seeing Eunice was laying down, with her body turned to my side. I chuckled.
"You got her to sleep?" I asked, turning to Kirk seeing him shrug.
"She told me to ask you why she was up and then she laid down. She said she was gonna try to fall asleep," he answered making me walk over towards my bed and sit down, facing her. Her eyes were closed and it did look like she had fallen asleep.
"Do you think it means something?" I asked as soon as Kirk passed me to lay on his bed on the other side of me.
"What does?" He asked behind me, I pulled both my legs onto my bed and tucked them under my sheet and laid down, staring up at the ceiling.
"Her being afraid of having visions?" I asked hearing him sigh.
"I don't know, but it's Eunice, she's paranoid about things that involve any of us," he responded making me sigh.
