A mere reflection of what I have become
—a symbol of dejection melodramatic to some.

Yet only few could understand
what's behind these bricks,
what's behind these scars,
what's behind these walls,
what's behind these marks.

I don't know why, I don't know how
I don't know when I'd leave this town
but from the moment I started penning down,
my head revealed a secret—I knew then where I'm bound.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

Welcome to my first ever published poetry collection! Writing this book has been a significant part of my journey as I battled against the demons within me and at the same time venture into the world of poetry.

For the new readers, I hope that I could touch your soul through the words I painfully weaved throughout my dark days. I hope that at the end of this book, you may be able to realize that you're not alone in this battle. But I warn you, if you're going through tough times or too sensitive enough to read dark-themed poetry, you may at least consider reading at your own risk.
