My father told me I've lost my mind
a smile so wry crept on my face
My mother told me I'm such a disgrace
another smile appeared seemingly crazed.My father questioned my normalcy
and doubted my capacity
My mother taught me how to pray
I hated it; it was a forceful way.My father told me to behave
though I'm locked inside this cave
My mother told me I acted like crazy
and that they hated me so badly.Maybe they're right;
I deserved this plight
maybe I'm insane,
a little crackbrain.
