Needless to say I enjoyed undressing the boys yesterday. I even went so far as to straighten Fidel's slightly curly hair, which he wasn't too happy about. I put sunglasses on Chris, and used polka-dotted ducktape to keep Lucus' eyes open. He looks kind of possessed in the pictures.
When I get to school, I decide to go ahead and sign up for Prom Queen candidate, just as a joke. I've no doubt I have a chance at winning with no effort, though; I am, of course, extremely hot and funny.
Afterward, I decide to go visit my semi-friend that hangs in the courtyard every morning.
"Oh, hey, Sky! I was just looking for you. Nice shirt, by the way."
"Hey, Courtney! Thanks. I made my boyfriend wear it too yesterday. What were you looking for me for?"
"Lucus? Wow, you must've had to drug him or something!"
You have no idea, sister.
"Anyway, I was just going to invite you over to my eighteenth birthday party. It's gonna be great!"
"Will there be party hats?"
"Well, I don't know, I wasn't planning..."
I stepped a couple feet closer, fisted her shirt, and lowered my voice in a mock menacing way. "WILL there be party hats?"
"Uh.... yes?" she said, giving me a 'WTF' look.
"YESSS!!! I LOVE PARTY HATS! They make me feel like a unicorn."
"By the way," I continued, "Why didn't you just text me an invite?"
"Since when have you had a phone?"
"Since-" I zoned off for a second. "Shit. The alligator ate it."
"How long did you have it?"
"Two whole days!"
She rolled her eyes. "Wow. New record."
"Right?!"
"SKYLARRR!"
"Who's yelling?" Courtney asked.
I cringed. "Shit. Lucus."
I turned around just in time to see Luke and Fidel ripping down all the family pictures I had posted on my way in. I hid behind Courtney, but it was too late; they had seen me. So I did the only thing I could think of doing: I ran back into the school through the opposite doors, and down the hallways as fast as I could. That wasn't very fast, considering I still had a pink cast on my left leg. And I didn't look back once. I ran up both flights of stairs, and ran and ran so much that not only were my lungs practically bleeding, but I'm pretty sure I'm lost.
I mean, yes, this is the end of my fourth year at this school, but I don't think I've ever been down this wing. It's a pretty big school considering how small of a town it's in...
I bent down to get a drink from a water fountain, but right after I did so, I heard footsteps rounding the corner.
"Sky!"
SHIT SHIT SHIT DOODLES SHIT.
I ran into the nearest supply closet, just as Lucus rounded the corner. Man! This is a huge closet! Good thing my eyes adjust to darkness fast. I have had a lot of practice hiding... I AM THE HIDE AND SEEK CHAMPION! No, really. We had a large match in the house one day. Even Mace was beat by my awesome skills. I got a trophy and everything.
I heard the doorknob begin to jiggle, so I stumbled back behind one of the shelves. Surprisingly, there was already a little niche I could slide into. I peered through one of the holes in the wood, and could vaguely see Luke's figure approach. How could he know I'm back here? He can clearly see the room is empty! Unless he knew this spot was behind this shelf... That's a bit far fetched, though...
