When I was a child, I feared sharks in the pool. Not the ocean for some reason, I enjoy the ocean. In fact when I got older I once swam with some sharks, eight foot long sharks that swam right over my head and made my heart race. I lost my fear of sharks that day and instead enjoyed the rush they gave me. I liked how they made my heart beat a million miles an hour.
Unlike the sharks, when you kissed me my heart never went a million miles an hour. It simply stopped altogether.
But just like a shark you took one bite of me and spit me out.
So I no longer fear sharks. I fear you.
