I'M A BUTTERFLY

Found another slightly more recent poem, probably about 13 when I wrote it.

I'm a little egg sitting on a leaf.
Suddenly I tremble and push up from underneath.
I'm a little caterpillar, crawling around
I can't go up unless I climb; I must stay on the ground
I spin a silk thread, now I'm a chrysalis
You have to watch this!
I break free
And say, "Look at me!"
I have two new wings,
But above all things,
I can fly!
I'm a butterfly!
