Silverleaf18 here you go sorry lol

this is a Christmas song/poem I wrote just recently :)

There was a girl,

A little younger than me,

Betrothed to a man named Joseph;

Her name was Mary.

There was nothing extraordinary

About her, she was just an ordinary

Girl, a little younger than me.

She wasn't holy,

Especially smart

Or especially pretty,

Or educated in the arts.

There was nothing extraordinary

About her, she was just an ordinary

Girl, a little younger than me.

She

Sinned

Every day.

She had to be told

To obey.

She

Cried,

And she laughed.

She could be sweet or full of wrath.

For...

There was nothing extraordinary

About her, she was just an ordinary

Girl, a little younger than me.

Then one day—

Joy to the world—

An angel came

To Mary's door

And told her she

Would give birth

To the Wonderful

Counselor

Prince of Peace

Lord of lords

King of kings

To be adored

God in flesh

To dwell on earth

And all because she would birth

This baby.

Yes, Mary.

Even though...

There was nothing extraordinary

About her, she was just an ordinary

Girl, a little younger than me.

Mary was frightened,

And she was confused.

How could a girl

Like her be used?

A wretch to birth

The holy one;

The sinner brings forth

The Almighty God.

Oh, how could it be?

Nothing extraordinary

How could it be?

Just an ordinary

How could it be?

And only

A little younger than me.
