I'm Sorry.

26 2 1

Like a rock thrown in a sea,
My heart plummets within me.
Like a dark, dense cloud,
My eyes begin to let out
Tears that trickle down my face
Like snails,
Leaving trails,
At a horrible pace.
My breath is exhaled
In gusts of gale
That barely start before they stop
And shudder among the treetops.
A whispering, consistent waterfall of words
Cascades from my mouth,
Repeating themselves,
Spoken to someone
But spoken to no one:
"I'm sorry,
I love you,
Please,
I'm sorry."
