NBB: Reboot

Chapter VI - So it begins...

After everyone went to Reboot Headquaters, they all moved in, and had bonded a little with each other in the short span of a few weeks. Hesiods and Equinox got their degrees and became independent, meaning they could live off being in the Reboot Squad. Brody and Deki made the building look like a home for everyone, and they hired the technician Zorium suggested. His name was Poku. He was just an average independent "hero", specialized in machinery dealing with nano electricity. He set up the consoles of comunications and electric wiring, by himself. He then left to do some other stuff to another building. So, The Reboot Squad had no missions, they were still training on their own, and they all lived in the building alone. After a few days of living completely on their own, a visitor came by, an knocked on the door. Nathan opened and it was from the hero military delivery. The person had a delivery to the team as a whole. The guy said it was from a high military ranking "hero" called General Midden. Nathan signed that he recieved it and went in with the package. It was a box about 4 ft wide and 6 ft long and 3 ft tall. The delivery supposedly had some sort of superstrength because he picked it up with one hand and passed it to Nathan. He then left, and everyone gathered up in the living room. Shaiden sat on the package and with her hunting balttle knife, that looked like a fang, she started to cut the tape of the box. She then opened that tabs of the box and proceeded to see the box's content. They all looked and it was filled with stuff that was divided by a wooden plank in the middle, dividing unsolved cases of unknown crime and research and evidence of such files, with some type of gear and tools used in military science research labs that never made it into the fields. There was a note saying,

"Dear Rookies:

I am the general of the Army of Middle-Earthians, Midden Bigoron, and I am happy to start off this program of special operations with a kickstart of the unsolved cases, of our previous special ops teams. On one side, there are files, containing evidence of unsolved cases. On the other side, are some untouched gear and some worn lab tools, that you might use on your travels and training expiriences, since you are all individuals with separate goals. This might help some of you, since you all are diferent. After I'm done training rookies, I might one day visit you all. It'll be a suprise, since none of you know me, but I'll show up and give something special to one of you, if I feel like it. For now, this is all I can do, now, go on, stop reading the end of this letter and start working.

Deki called dibs on a oddly shaped gun. Brody took the files and decided to read them while the others looked at some of the tools and gear. Zorium was reading a book upside down because he could and Nathan decided to dive himself into a pond to think and channel instinct to see if he could at least weaken the seal on his back. Deki was playing with the oddly shaped gun and said, "Hey Brody, this one was used to kill demons." "And why should I know?" said Brody as he flipped pages while reading the cases. "I know because I had one of these back in the hunting days." Shaiden then came asking, "You hunted demons?" "Anything stupid that desserved to die." Asrion took some weird metal arm plates. He tried them on and something on the armor shined in a glowing lightning color. Asrion decided to see how strong was it, so he punched a dummy, and it knocked pretty far back. Then a little glimpse of electricity was seen on the dummy. He then punched it again but harder. It went farther back and the lightning glimpse was more electric. He then thought of something he saw Equinox with his electric magic. Then with his hand all opened, he thrusted at the his best speed and strength, and sparkle of electricity was shot from the palm of his hand. Equinox saw that from the other side of the room, so he stood up and put electric energy on his hand. He looked at Asrion and told him, "It's not going to hurt." He then proceeded to punch at full power to Asrion's face. As a reaction he stopped it by grabbing his wrist before it reached his face. All that electricity passed on to the arm plates Asrion was wearing. Equinox then said, "The plates, they are made of electrum and vibranium, so it conceives electricity without conducting it. With kinetic movement, the force excels outermost conduction like a tesla coil, making it shoot a spark. When colliding with other metal, it can also be used a pulser of electromagnetic waves, just after it's pushed against other metals." Equinox went back to his room and Asrion then thought and decided to keep them for himself. Brody called everyone out and said, "I found a pretty solid case, it's about the mistery of robbery in Deltora." Shaiden replied saying, "What's so important about a robbery." Brody took a a paper, and said, "There is this paper, then this paper is suddenly on fire, then it turns into ash, but who and how did the fire appear, and what was exactly stolen." Zorium then said, "The Bonfire Robbery?" Brody then said, "Exactly, who's interested? I have two more solid cases." Zorium oicked the file up, reads it, and says, "Asrion, go with Deki and check Deltora and Demolga out for info on the missing bonfire." Deki went to her gun rack and was confused to choose which guns to go with, while Asrion was wondering what the hell is a bonfire. For a while he kept it to himself as Zorium and Brody zipped on a weird green drink called LakenDew. Equinox then cared to wonder and take his book out saying, "From what I learned, Bonfires are mystical signs of ancient knowledge left by a tribe named The Revenants. Revenants were the tribe of immortal beings, conceiving both power, strength and knowledge of their origin and purpose in the universe, inside a stockpile of bones, brightened by a fire on a sword shaped bone called a bonfire. Inside this bone, there was an ember that let out a warming fire, and only the dead-like being can understand it's properties and purpose. The revenants left Deltora, to the mysterious island of Fira, South of Claria's coast. They now lie in coffins, all around the volcano, no one knows what was their purpose, or why did they trap themselves inside the coffins. This legend dates back to the times before the law of magic." Brody turned on the communication console and typed in something and said, "What we want you two to do is to go and find information of whereabouts of the bonfire." Asrion then replied, "What importance does it make if we find it or not?" Brody then took the file out of Zorium's hands and said, "Eddy, has 8 associates that have learned his ways of being stealthy, and they all know how to hide on plain sight. From what Zorium gave us, one of the eight associates is a necromancer, meaning that if he's the one after bonfires, he will abuse of the bonfires to then revive all the revenants and create an ultimate bonfire, to take massive firepower, and possibly revive every dead thing that was once alive." Asrion took a chest plate from the box, and tried it only this time, it was just a regular chest plate, he took a knapsack filled with supplies he might need so strapped on as a bag. Deki then took a two dessert eagles and said, "The twin legends, been with me ever since Ethan let me out of hell...... Well, Asrion I'm heading off, wanna ride on the moto....." A loud dragon roar clouded the building and everyone got nervous except for Ignis who got excited. "Udra! I'm coming," said Ignis while running excited outside. Asrion went outside and said, "Oh it's just Udra." Deki then said, "She has a dragon pet, named Udra?!?" Shaiden then came outside saying, "So her tales are true, she did befriend a dragon...." Udra seemed a little energized after finding Ignis after weeks. Ignis then said, "Hey, it's faster by dragon flight, wanna ride?" Deki assured and took some flight goggles. She took another pair, and gave it to Asrion. They all went up Udra, they bulcked up and flew off to Deltora.
