We go in to check on her. She's sitting up on the bed with her back on the headboard. She looked drunk.
"Hey you okay what happened do you remember anything" I asked
"Umm I was in my car then I got a text from Alec saying he was down the block. So I got out then some dude picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. At first I thought it was Alec but why would he be walking into a car if it was. I immediately panicked and started to scream. He told me to shutup then slapped my face. Two guys started to run to us and help me. The last thing I remember was being dropped on my head." Delilah explains
"Who was he" Alec said
"I don't know he started walking up your steps then when I came out of the car he grabbed me." She said
That dude was probably after me. I hurt Delilah this is all my fault. If I wasn't her friend she wouldn't have been attacked. I run out of the room trying to hold back my tears I run as fast and far as I can.
"Melissa" I hear Delilah and Alec screaming. I ran to behind the counter of the cafeteria in the hospital.
"I don't think she's in here lets look somewhere else" Delilah says
"You go back to your room you had a concussion I can handle this" Alec tells her.
"Are you sure" she says
"Yeah"
"Ok bye" I can hear Delilah's footsteps walking away.
"Melissa I know you're in here come out. Get up I know your behind the counter I'm not stupid plus i can smell your perfume."
Crap. I get up but I still lean against the wall.
"Oh my god are you okay" he screams
"Huh what" I say
"You're arm is bleeding" he grabs my arm.
"Im fine"
"I know you're not" he says and grabs my arm pulling me out.
"Ow shit" I screamed
"What's wrong"
"Let go of my arm"
"Oh sorry" he lets go. I grab my arm and start rubbing it
"Lets go" he leads me to the door.
"I don't want to" I say
"Come lets go" he says
"No" I say firmly
"Fine be that way" he comes over to me picks me up and throws me over his shoulder.
"Let go" I screamed
"No" he mocked me. We walked all the way to Delilah's room.
"What the hell are you doing" Lucas says. He puts me down slowly trying not to hurt me.
"Sorry her arm was bleeding and she wouldn't come with me to get help so I carried her out" Alec says
"You're lucky I know you like Delilah" Lucas says pissed
"You like me?" Delilah says confused while she walks out of her room.
"I uh um" Alec stutters. Delilah walks closer to him and kisses him on his lips. Then pulls back and says "cuz I like you to" she blushes a little.
"Well look how our date turned out" Alec says chuckling a little
"Heh yeah" Delilah answers.
They stand there holding each others hands.
"So we will just leave" I say. And walk out holding Lucas's hand. We drive home it was awkward none of us said anything. We reach home and I run up straight to my room.
"Melissa" Lucas bangs on the door.
"Go away" I answer
"Please let me in" he answers back softly.
"No" I sob a little "leave me alone."
He opens the door and I'm sitting on my bed looking at my cut. My arm from my elbow to my wrist was slashed. He looks at my arm then back at me.
"How did that happen" he says quietly i can tell he's trying not to explode
"I don't know" I say looking down and covering my arm.
"You do know" he says
"I don't" I say
"You do tell me" he screams.
"Fine I do. I cut myself"
"How. Wait where. No when"
"I was running away from Alec and when I turned to hide there was a sharp edge and it cut me. I didn't bother looking at it but then he noticed it." I was interupted by my phone ringing. So I answered it. Good way to get out of that conversation
"Hello" I say
"Yeah sweety I'm gonna be home late from work and your father is on a business trip so your alone with Lucas"
"Ok"
"Thanks for understanding bye" she says quickly
"By-" I was cut off by the beeping sound when someone hangs up you know that sound.
"Who was it" Lucas asks
"My mom" I told him what happened. We go downstairs. He ordered pizza and we watched horror movies for hours. My favorite. He forgot about my arm thankfully and I eventually fell asleep on the couch along with him.
