----Shurti's POV---

A few weeks later

"Hey! Why aren't you paying attention to anything?" Maddie asked.

"Oh. Sorry, just a bit lost and thinking about something," I said.

"Someone," Neysa said.

"Oh! Someone huh," Nida said.

"Seriously, it's nothing like that," I said.

I went on and told them what happen that night of the party.

"Oh," they said.

"But I guess things just work out for the best," Maddie said.

"I saw no best in this situation," I said.

"Maybe it's a sign that you should give your marriage a try," Nida said.

I laughed at that.

"Don't see it happening. He doesn't like me and I don't like him," I said.

"Then start,"she said.

"How about no," I said.

"Ziddi larki," Neysa said.

"Seriously," the other two said.

"Whatever," I said and left from there.

I was not in the mood for relationship advice.

On my way back home I ran into Inaya.

Wow, isn't this lovely. Note the sarcasm.

"Hey," she said.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"The project back on. I need all the money that project has in it," she said.

"Okay, come with me and tell him," I said.

"What? Are you crazy? No way would I ever tell him. Actually," she said crossing her arms in front of her chest. "I don't need to. I have the flash drive with all the information on it and his file has been missing since last week. So do let him know that this project is back up."

Can't believe I'm about to say this.

"Do you have any idea how hard he worked on that? On his company? Let me tell you something, I'll tell him definitely, but just remember it's you who's going down in flames. Start looking for a job," I said and left from there.
