My Dearest Bucky,

I wish I could say it was easy to go back to work after you left with your Infantry. At least the pay is good in the factories. They moved me to packaging bullets today. The work is tedious, but it is easy. A woman has to do what she has to do to help her country. Just as you are doing what you have to do.

Tell me what England is like. I know you are only there for training, but one day, maybe when you come home, we can scrape up the money to visit London together. Just you and me.

I see the devastating news everyday about the bombings over England. I fear for you, and the safety of the infantry. The Germans are relentless.

Enough about the war.

My sister had her baby yesterday.

I can't believe I'm an aunt now. She had a healthy baby boy named Daniel. He has a full head of blonde hair and looks exactly like his daddy.

I can't wait to have a family one day. With you. Not a day will go by without me thinking of you and a not a night will go by without me dreaming of you.

I love you, James. Write soon.
