25. Hope Is For Suckers

Last night I stayed up thinking.

I don't like Lucas

I don't like Zay, i kissed him because I was caught up in the moment. And I will explain that to him later.

I just miss the two of my favorite people. Josh and Riley...

"Hey Maya!" Zay said waving his hand in front of me!

"Hey Zay. Im sorry about what I did yesterday. I was just caught up in the moment. I know I shouldn't have that. Your my friend Zay!" I said as I hugged him

"Yea Its all good Maya." Zay said as he left.

After Maya Kissed me, I started to think about it. Because I don't know i think I felt something. I think i like her.

I was on my way to talk to Maya, when I stopped by the gift shop and saw a necklace with an M on it. I bought it so I can give it to Maya when i tell her that I might have some feelings for her.

She was still on the couch but she was spaced out.

"Hey Maya!" I said waving my hand in front of her

"Hey Zay. Im sorry about what I did yesterday. I was just caught up in the moment. I didn't mean to do it. Your my friend Zay! And im so sorry for that mistake!" She said as She hugged me.

I was kind of sad to hear that. I looked at the necklace and put it in my pocket. Well there goes my hope.

"Yea Its all good Maya." I said with a fake smile and left.

"Hey Zay whats wrong?" Farkle said

"Have you ever felt like you like someone but they only think of you as a friend ? And you build up all this hope and courage to tell them how you feel but you find out that they are happier with someone else?" I said

"Yea I know exactly how you feel!" Farkle said looking down. I was suprised that he felt the same.

"Talk to me ?" Said Zay

"Okay, well just a few weeks before Ranger Rick came along, I had a small crush on Riley. Maya knew about it and always told me to tell Riley. Well the day Lucas came along was the day I was going to tell her, but they were all over eachother and I just decided to hide my feelings till they were gone. So yesterday when Maya had told me Riley and Lucas were going to be brother and sister, I was going to tell her right at that moment but she said "i love him to much" which basically just made me loose my hope. How about you flat butt?" I said and he giggled at the name

"Maya and I kissed yesterday. I think i felt something and I thought she would to. So today I was going to ask her about the kiss and a bought her this necklace *shows the necklace* but she told me she was just caught up in the moment and didn't mean it and basically called it a mistake." He said

"Yeah hope is for sucker!" I said as I watched Riley and Lucas pass by hand in hand.

"Comeon lets go get our mind of stuff and lets go meet some new ladies!" Zay said

"Okay *laughs* what are you going to do with that M?" I said

"I don't maybe just give it away " Zay said

We then went to go skiing. On our way their we met a group of friends named

Smackle *Cecilia Balagot*
Melissa *Olivia Stuck*
Frank *Hayes Grier*

They had also come here as a field trip! They are from a middle school in New York as well. We decided to hang out with them!

I actually had fun and helped me take my mind of things like Riley.

*FEW HOURS LATER*

I started to hang out with Smackle! She's also a super genius. We started to talk about things that I don't usually talk to with Riley, Maya, Lucas, or Zay because it would be to complicated for them! To be honest I forgot all about Riley!

"Hey Smackle? Tomorrow is my last day here so would you like to go out on a date?" I said i was nervous because I wasn't sure if she'd say yes.

"I would love that, hunk!" She said as she touch my hand.

I was hanging out with Melissa, Frank, Luke and Zack.

"Yo im in a mood for some hot chocolate! Anyone wanna come?" Said Zack

"No! Ill stay here y'all can go!" I said

"I'll stay with Zay!" Melissa said with a little blush

"Did you just blush?" I said

"Is that bad?" She said

"No just that a girl had never blushed because of me! " i said

"How come your a really cool, funny, and sweet guy!" She said

"I guess im not likable! I mean I did get rejected just this morning!" I said

"What happend?" She said

"This girl kissed me. I thought I felt something. I thought I liked her. I bought her this necklace. I was going to tell her but She said it was a mistake. So basically i got turned down. But its okay. I honestly didn't even know if what I felt was real!" I said

"Oh I see. Honestly if you weren't sure then why were you going to tell her?" She said

"I don't know. I guess I was hoping for her to like me. " I said

"Seems to me your getting a bit lonely! I mean have you evrr thought of this girl as your lover?" She said

"No"

"So you never even thought you'd like her or had a crush on her?"

"No. "

"Maybe your a but confused! How long has it been since you had a girlfriend or crush?"

"My last girlfriend was about a yeat ago. And I haven't had a crush on anyone. Im more of like a player!"

I don't maybe shes right. I mean IVE NEVER EVER THOUGHT OF MAYA AS MORE THAN A FRIEND. And I haven't been out on a date for awhile. Maybe I am bit lonely.

"I guess your right maybe i am feeling a bit lonely!"

"Ha. Um would it be wrong if I invited you watch a movie in my hotel room tonight?"

"No. I'd like that." I said

I then took out the necklace and thought I should give it to Melissa instead.

"Here *gives her the necklace* its the necklace I was going to give the girl. But i want to thank you for 1. Helping me clear out my mind and 2. For invited me to watch a movie." I said and she smiled
