ding dong doorbell
i know who it is
i rush to get my bicycle and
run off with the city kids
ride through town
to the park where we'll all meet
ding dong steeple
i know what time it is
boys on their skateboards
show off loops and tricks
ding dong change cup
i know where the homeless man is
we talked and planned adventures
for if we all grew up
ding dong alarm clock
i know the dream it is
