somewhere
in a parallel universe
our hearts are whole
and our moon has burst into a million pieces
stars
to spread its light
the universe sacrificed its one light
to make many
one
for each
we need
they top purple and black swirling skies
and we make a wish as they plummet
scrounge the four corners of the earth
for true answers
the song of the mountain
can't even reach the heavens
visible through the pine
they dapple the forest floor in silver
as cunning as unicorn blood
entranced as a red rose
dew drops
the imprints the stars left on our morning's floor
water from nowhere is mysteriously beautiful
and rays of sunlight come in strings that spread out on the ground
stars
estrellas
the light
in the night
