Hazel's POV
"None of the newer hybrids seem to be successful in capturing Delirious," I report with a wave of relief. I'm happy that the tortured hybrid has met some wonderful friends and has all that support. He deserves it."I know." Dr. Nanners calmy replies, leaving me suspicious of his intentions.
"Well isn't that bad? Delirious is our most prized hybrid." I press on, hoping for some answers to his eerie behaviour.
"It doesn't matter, I've found out something better. I expected Delirious to escape." What?! I mentally gulp. Did he find out about me opposing him?
"He has confirmed my suspicions that hybrids are stronger when they are independent; having a will of their own. Not only that, but our previous experiments that escape seem to be quite capable despite being older and less experimented on. To conclude, it depends on the person that is made into a hybrid. It's so nostalgic to see my little Vanoss again." He rumbles with satisfaction, making me cringe. How can he use people so easily?A knock reverberates around the room and Nanners responds. One of our spies bustles in with satisfaction written all over his face.
"Although we did not get a close look, Delirious was play-fighting with the other rogue experiments. Surprisingly all of them seem quite tough, yet if you want to strike, do it now when they are exhausted." He states and with the wave of a hand is dismissed."It seems that I'm being too easy on them, so I would like you to send numerous hybrids this time, Hazel. If these hybrids really are stronger than ours, this could be the answer we are looking for." I shiver subtly.
"So you want them to target Delirious again?" I question, pitying the poor raccoon that doesn't deserve this and thanking the gods that he's no longer alone."Not just Delirious. Before he escaped, Vanoss was second to Delirious when it came to combat. I want both of them if possible. Even if we don't get them, it will not change anything. I think I have finally made the perfect weapons of mass destruction, and already know how to make more." I nod my head before scurrying off worriedly.
If what he says is true, he's either made the perfect serum, or is going to use Delirious and his new friends to accomplish his ambition. I don't know how, but I'll find a way to keep that from occurring.

I open the door to the pristine white chamber.
"Helix, Shard, Zifila, Lucky!" I call out, and eventually 4 figures approach. Helix timidly pads towards me while Zifila grumps around because of his old age and crusty nature. I try not to make eye-contact with a certain male, who struts towards me with confidence. The big lug is always in his hybrid polar bear form and wears a luscious, thick winter jacket. He's practically the demon version of Jack Frost; dark blue eyes saying 'hello I'm insane, what's your name', incredibly pale skin and snowy white hair sticking up, polar bears ears accompanying it. Shard has a thing for Delirious and it brings out not only his insane but also his kinky side. Cringe. I silently apologize to Delirious in advance for making him deal with his creepy admirer again. Lucky quietly strides along, but knowing that she's actually a killing machine doesn't allow me to be fooled by her nature."Enjoy the freedom, but do me a favour and capture both Vanoss and Delirious." I glare at Lucky and Shard.
"And no killing, anybody." I stress out, before regrettably unleashing the hell we've created.

Jonathan's POV
I never want to wake up again. I seriously cannot live with the fact that while Delirious was in control, he used my body to attack Vanoss. Oh and that dark hickey! It was the most visible way of saying 'mine' and although Evan's reaction was probably absolutely adorable when he got it- wait scratch that I'm not thinking straight. I feel like it's payback for him always treating me like I'm some teddy bear; not seeing me as dominant. I can be a damn dominant raccoon when I want to!It was nice of Evan to focus on getting rest and dealing with the Delirious incident when everybody is well-rested and not injured.
A sudden loud crashing noise resounds throughout the mansion causing me to jerk awake. What in the hell was that? The soft breathing of Evan beside me indicates that he really needs to fix this heavy-sleeper problem. Worried, I think maybe checking out the noise's source will soothe my suddenly racing heart, but my blood only pounds through my body more when I finally realize my situation. I am stuck to the bed; wrists bound to the headboard and ankles knotted together with rope. You know there's better ways to wake up a person.
