Chapter Nineteen

Nicole's POV:

BANG!

I stop dead on my trail and fall straight to the surface of the Earth. Lightheaded. Nauseous. Pain everywhere.

"Nicole!" yelled Eric, "Oh my god. Help! Someone call an ambulance!"

I turn to face him, tears falling down his face. Red eyes. Soul being ripped out.

"Nicole your going to be ok." he reassured, "No matter what happens, I'll always be by your side."

I stay quiet. No words coming out of my mouth.

"Nicole, please talk to me." he whispered, "Remember that song Nathan wrote you?"

I nodded softly.

"How does it go?" he chuckled, "This is not gonna last forever. It's the time you must hold on. And I wont let you surrender. And I'll heal you if your broken."

The sounds of the ambulance were nearing.

"You need to stay strong Nicole. Do it for me." he croaked

"Your going to make me cry." I finally whispered

"Sir, please stand back." a nurse said

"Just be careful with her, please." Eric pleaded

"She's in good hands." the nurse smiled

Eric nodded. I get carried away to the same place. Old. Smelly. Very lonely. Home sweet home. Yay me.

Nathan's POV:

As I was sitting in bed Skylar comes running in.

"Nathan hide this!" he said throwing a gun at me

"Skylar what'd you do!" I yell avoiding the gun

"I shot someone." he gritted through his teeth

"Who! Who did you shot!" I started panicing

"If I told you, you'll be pissed." he smirked

"You bitch!" I punched Skylar in the face

"She doesn't have a lot of time." he said wiping the blood off his lip

I was going to punch him again, but he isn't worth my time. I get in my car and drive over to a hospital.

I park my car and walk in looking for Eric. He's in the waiting room, crying his eyes until they pop out.

"Eric." I whispered

He stood up and right away hugged me. I was shocked at first but I just patted his back softly.

"Sorry." he sniffed, "It's just, I might actually loose her for good. The doctors said she was still fragile and she wasn't fully recovered."

"Look, we have to be strong for her. Ok." I said

He nodded, "Yea."

"Mr.Soto?" a doctor came in

"Yes?" Eric walked to him

"Nicole, she might have more serious problems." the doctor said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Nicole had previous injuries, right?" he asked

"Yes, but what does this have to do with her?" Eric and I asked

"Nicole...." he started
