SHERICKHA'S P.O.V.

Time flew so fast as if the wind blew everything away in an instant. I couldn't even remember when was the last time I stepped on our old house. I guess, it was when I was still in Grade 10? The very last time...a time I don't even want to remember anymore.

*PHONE RINGS

“Where the heck are you? I said I'll arrive at exactly 9:00 AM! I've been waiting here for 'bout thirty minutes already!”

I got irritated by his laugh even more. But yeah, this is how we usually talk at nasanay na lang ako.

“Nasa Pilipinas ka kaya 'wag mo 'kong ini-English ha,” sambit niya saka siya tumawa. “Sandali lang po mahal na prinsesa ha? Traffic kasi. Pero malapit na 'ko.”

I rolled my eyes again as if he's seeing me. But I bet he already knows I'm rolling my eyes.

“Yeah yeah, whatever.

“Promise me you'll arrive here safely.” Seryosong sabi ko sa kaniya.

“Of course, I promise.”

“I'll hang up for a while. I'll call you when I get there.”

But yeah, I can't help it but to worry. I don't want him to come and drive for me, but he insisted. It's not that I feel like being a burden, but I couldn't forget how he almost died because of a car accident. That's why I've always told him that he shouldn't drive and if possible, bring a driver with him. Basta, huwag siya ang magmamaneho. Pero, he's so hard-headed that he always disobey what I say.

“Miss Sherickha?”

Uh-oh!

“Shh, please don't shout! Others might find out I'm here.”

“I am a big fan of yours po! Omg! Sobrang idol na idol ko po ikaw! I am an aspiring fashion designer po and ikaw ang role model ko!” Dere-deretsong sabi niya.

Ngumiti ako sa kaniya.

“Thank you! I hope you'll be able to reach your dreams soon.” Nakangiting sambit ko.

“Thank you po! Omg! Uhm. If you don't mind, can we take a picture po? Please, omg!” Naiiyak na sabi niya.

She reminds me of my younger self. And I must say, she kinda look like me rin when I was younger.

“Sure sure!” Sambit ko.

Kaagad siyang lumapit sa'kin at nakipagpicture. She took how many photos din bago tuluyang tumigil.
