Hours (although it was actually minutes) seemed to have past before he found himself moving away from the door to their apartment and out onto the streets.
His mind was in chaos as he walked aimlessly with no destination in mind.
"He doesn't trust me...Chi Cheng does not trust me..."
"What am I going to do now...? Where can I go...?"
Drops of water fell onto his face. As he held his hand out, Suo Wei thought that he was crying. Sobs of despair came out of him as heavier rain drops started falling.
"Even heaven is against me..."
As the weather got colder and Suo Wei got more drenched, the streets became empty and more quiet. If anyone were to look down the street, the only thing they would see is the outline of a wet figure walking and if they were to hear closely, his sobs carried along in the sound of the downpour.
