Suo Wei woke up to a heavy 'lump' on his stomach. Groggily, he looked around at his surroundings and realised that he was still in the hospital. As he tried to sit up, he found that he was as weak as a baby, with little energy.

"I must have been here for days..." Suo Wei thought. "And this heavy 'lump' isn't helping either...".

Suo Wei finally looked down and saw a sleeping figure with the head on his stomach.

"Xiaoshuai?" Suo Wei rasped, his throat still dry from just having woken up. He moved his hand to pat his friend's head and immediately stilled his actions seconds later when he realised that it's not his dear friend.

"I can recognise this hard and stubborn head of his anywhere." Suo Wei thought fondly, as tears ran down his cheeks.

He didn't know what was going on, didn't understand why Chi Cheng was here. After that day, he just... he just felt lost. He knew Xiaoshuai had been taking care of him this whole time. He had been in and out of consciousness but there had been moments when he was awake... although he just didn't want to wake up fully to face anyone.

"How can I face him now..." he thought sadly.

His throat chose that exact moment to get itchy and as much as he tried, Suo Wei couldn't stop the bouts of dry cough that escaped. He could feel Chi Cheng stirring and knew that soon...

"Suo Wei...?"

"Yup, he's awake now." Suo Wei thought, still coughing too hard to answer him.

"Here. Sit up a bit and drink this."

Suo Wei felt himself being helped to sit up and then there was a straw brought to his lips. He sucked in the water greedily and was thankful when he felt the itch in his throat subside. He felt himself being laid back down but he couldn't bring himself to open his eyes just yet. After a while though, he did, just to find himself looking straight into Chi Cheng's eyes.

"He looked like he hasn't been sleeping well" Suo Wei thought as he scanned his lover's haggard-looking face.

The silence in the room was deafening but Suo Wei continued to look on silently at Chi Cheng. He didn't know what was going on but he could practically 'see' the emotions and feelings going through that face. There was a mixture of sadness and uncertainty and...

"Huh? Is that... is that longing and... and regret that I am seeing on his face?" Suo Wei thought in disbelief. "I must be more sick than I thought."

"Suo Wei, I... I..."

Suo Wei knew what his lover was struggling to say... but he just cannot bring it on himself to make the first move. He should feel angry actually, not give in like he always does. But before he could say or do anything, he felt a gentle hand caress his face. He looked up to see Chi Cheng, with tears in his eyes...
