This had to be in my top fifteen awkward moments in the last three years list. I think it's either number eight or seven.

Steve eyes kept moving from Andrew to me, before finally settling to stare down Dane. Everything seemed to tense, his knuckles whitening slightly as he clenched his fist. He kept consistent eye contact and stepped somewhat closer to the foot of my bed.

Andrew's posture was more leisurely. His shoulders were back, standing tall. He kept on a lopsided smile, immediately recognizing Rogers. To him, this meant making sure he still had superiority in the room, despite sharing it with a hero. One hand fell in his pant's pocket, the other lazily draped at his side. He appeared relaxed, as anyone should be when addressing someone lower than you.

A few thick moments of utter silence followed, before Andrew extended a hand, "Andrew Dane, CEO of Dane Global."

Steve hesitated before shaking his outstretched hand, "Steve Rogers-"

"Captain America," Andrew cut in, still persistently giving off the aura of contempt, "I helped fund your exhibit at the Smithsonian. Big fan."

They both released each other's hand quickly, Andrew returning his to his pockets while Steve kept his clenched, ready to fight. My throat tightened a bit when both looked at me again, but kept trying to look as comfortable as I could.

"So what are you doing in this room, Mr. Dane?" Steve asked again, slightly narrowing his eyes at the other man, suspicious.

Andrew set his jaw, a small chuckle escaping his lips while he slightly shrugged, "And why exactly is that your business, Captain? Or should I call you Mr. Rogers? Steve perhaps-"

"Just answer the question." His voice was now more firm, his sentence a demand. Andrew was surprised at the change of tone, his lazy demeanor changing into one of defensiveness. He even slightly swallowed, but his slight smirk still remained. He kept it painted on his face, still knowing he had the upper hand by being my former spouse.

Now, I was fed up of the two white males engaging in a stare off, very ready to fight while I watched helplessly. I gave a small smile, throwing a look towards Dane before talking to Steve, "He was just leaving-"

"Can't a man visit his wife?"

Damnit, stupid billionaires. Still thinking they possessed something they already lost. He could've at least added a 'former' in there.

Steve was very surprised, to say the least. He took a step back, face going slack in shock. He tried to regain with grace the ground he lost, but it was very evident the quick revelation disturbed him.

"Ex husband." I added quickly, watching Andrew's smug smirk return. He was happy the damage he had inflicted on the man across from him- my partner in fact, whom I had blindsided. Anger brewed in my chest, my voice sharp as I kept a consistent glare directed at Dane, "Very much divorced. As I said, he was just leaving."

Andrew suppressed a small laugh, glad he held the upper hand in the situation. Sometimes I suspected he lived off of demolishing other's egos, which he was certainly proving. He twisted the knife deeper now, keeping his tone light-hearted the whole way, "No please, I've never met Mister-Captain Rogers. Any friend of my darling Sienna is a friend of mine."

My grin spread thinner than I ever thought my mouth was capable of, "Well-"

"I'm sorry," Steve said at the same time, looking between me and him. His voice was that one sassy one where he'd lift both eyebrows and nod his head. He did just that, talking to Andrew while he glanced at me, "I wasn't aware Agent Firman had an ex."
