I really don't understand love triangles in stories. Sure, you might have a crush and find another person somewhat attractive, I mean, in my opinion, that's normal. But when you're head over heels for someone and then another person comes around, you don't just leave them (unless they did something bad to you.) Also, here's another thing.
Say the good girl is into the bad boy but he doesn't like her back. All of a sudden this other person comes around (most likely a new student) and boom he suddenly falls in love with the good girl. If you didn't like her in the beginning why are you so possessive all of a sudden? And then the girl goes through the 'life changing' decision of who to date. And of course she chooses the bad boy. If the good girl/main character doesn't, the bad boy convinces her to choose him or something like that. What does the other person do? They get over the good girl in about five minutes.
