Before you call me a hypocrite, I write short chapters as well. I usually write about 4-5 pages, the shortest being 3. If that's all you can write, that's fine, but at least put some effort into them, make those short chapters interesting. But if you write a short chapter just because you're lazy, don't expect to get a lot of reads.
E.g. I wake up and brush my teeth. I go to school.
*end of chapter*
If you do that, I'm sorry, but please stop. People will stop reading if you do this. Now, it also depends on the type of book. If you're writing a rant book like this or a book about yourself (kind of like a public journal) then sure, make it as long or as short as you want. If you're writing a story, like fanfiction, however, one page is not enough. At least 3 or more pages is fine, but put effort into them.
