"So, where are we again?" I asked Abby.
She shrugged in reply. "Dunno. But I do know that we're insanely dehydrated and will most likely burn to death under the desert sun's rays and melt or something."
I nodded. "I wouldn't be surprised if that- EEEEEK!" I had accidentally tripped over a rock. Yeah, scary, right. You know what was scarier? When a -- thing -- popped out of the hole underneath.
"Who are you?" The thing speaks!
"Wait . . ." She paused. "Mary, is that you?" Abby asked.
The thing shifted uncomfortably. "Um . . . I suppose I am me . . ." It said hesitantly.
Abby sniffed the air and crinkled her nose. "Well, I'm glad I found you, but I think you are in desperate need of a shower right now." I nodded , agreeing.

Wondrous Works:
Her Knight in Shining Armour = +92 points
I loved the way you turned the situation around like that! I had never thought about it the way you did, that maybe the princesses in those fairytales really didn't want to be save or rescued at all. Nice work!
Mind's Error = +92 points
I enjoyed this short story so much because you portray the "Crazy man's" crazy as a form of love. True love, and the more, "I'd love to kill you so I can keep you," kind of love, but hey, it's still love, right? Hehe. I, however, did feel quite bad for the man a few times during the story.
You now (both) have +2 points added onto the scoreboard for three consecutive months. Good work!
Third Place:
18 Reasons of Why I Love You = +93 points
This story was so poignant . . . I could feel the heartbreak, but love, radiating off it both at the same time. Now that's a task not accomplishable by many. I loved it!
You now have +6 points added onto the scoreboard! Great job!
Second Place:
Red Shoes = +94 points
The simplicity of this story, plot-wise, was what drew me into this story so deeply. You didn't have to say very much, and your story was definetely on the shorter side, but the plot itself was so well-woven that quantity didn't matter. This was -- and still is -- quality writing.
You now have +8 points added onto the scoreboard! Congrats!
First Place:
Eternity = +95 points
So much heartbreak was in this story, just packed in there tightly, waiting to explode out and break us. This heartwrenching story hit me right there in my weakest points, and gosh, I was choking up the entire time. And though the ending could be considered happy, I still felt the lingering sting of emotion.
You now have +11 points added onto the scoreboard! May your writing be forever appreciated!
Be aware that I did like some pieces better than others, but they were shot down because of the grammar, word count, and due date components. I will not mention titles, but know to reread, to submit on time, and to try and stick to the word count as best as possible.
Furthermore, I apologize for slinking under a rock and hiding there for eternity and making you guys wait so anxiously for the results. I promise I'm not always lazy (alright. I confess I was lazy and slow this time 'round.) like this! Usually when school starts and I'm more uptight and aware and awake and responsible for things, the results are always out fast.
But here's partially a reason why the results were published late; I had made stickers and ribbons for the winners. Private message me if you would like the sticker for your book cover!
And I know that's not anywhere near a good excuse, so . . .
SORRY!!! DON'T KILL ME. HATE ON ME HERE, -> ALL YOU WANT, AND PRETEND TO BLOW MY BRAINS OUT WITH A MACHINE GUN WHILE I PLAY DEAD OR SOMETHING. PRINT OUT A PICTURE OF MY PROFILE AND THROW DARTS -- OR KNIVES -- AT IT.
No but seriously. I so sorry that you had to wait long . . .
Okay. I'm done. Thanks for putting up with me for so long. I love you guys. Don't say it back or I'll feel bad. I'll go sob in the corner now. sob.
