Chapter 12: Starting of school

It was Monday which meant today was the first day of school.

"Madison wake up" Josh said poking my cheek
"What..." I said tiredly
"Time for school" he said still poking my cheek
"Ugh" I said flopping my feet over he side of the bed
"There ya' go" he said chuckling
"Yeah yeah" I said giggling

I went over to my closet and got out a White shirt with Falling In Reverse printed on it with black and got some black shorts out. I went into the bathroom and changed I ran downstairs and got some lucky charms out of the cabinet and poured them in a bowl and got the milk out and poured it too (Ryleigh Tutorial on how to make cereal) I ate my cereal and got my shoes on and grabbed my backpack and slung it onto the coach and then sat down and waited for Brendon to get done eating. I got onto my and got onto Instagram

"Boo" Brendon said trying to scare me
"Hey" I said laughing
"Dang it" he said Under his breathe
"What did you think you were gonna scare me?" I said laughing
"Yeah... Oooo you have Instagram" he said
"Yup" I said

Brendon got his phone out of his pocket and then grabbed mine and looked what it was and he typed it in and followed me.

"Why thank you, you were my 700th follower" I said giggling
"Oh really" he said
"Wait whats your Instagram" Tyler and Josh said in unison, they laughed after
"Here" I said giving them my phone

They looked for my Instagram and found it they both followed me and gave me my phone.

"Alright we need to go Madison" Brendon said putting on his sunglasses
"Alright" I said walking outside with my bag
"Are we taking the car" I asked
"Yeah" Brendon said
"alright" I said

I got into the car and sat there and waited till Brendon got into the car. He got in and we drove to the school.

•10 minutes later•

We arrived at the school and I got out of the car I was really nervous I saw a whole bunch of people outside with their friends and I was alone. Brendon left and I was just looking around I started walking to a tree and I bumped into someone and she dropped all her stuff.

"I'm so sorry" I said helping her with all her stuff
"It's ok" she said smiling
"Well at least you're nice enough to help me with my stuff" she said chuckling
"Well then" I said picking up the last notebook and handing it to her
"Nice shirt" she said
"Thank nice shirt to you too" I said pointing at her Panic! Shirt
"Thanks, oh and by the way my name is Ashley" she said smiling
"My name is Madison, Madison Urie" I said
"Oh it's like your Brendon's daughters but not" she said
"I'm actually his adopted daughter, but you can't tell anyone yet" I said
"You are not" she said
"Am too" I said
"Want me to prove it" I said getting out my phone

I got onto Instagram and showed her that Brendon followed me, then I called Brendon and put it on speaker.

Brendon: are you ok? What happened? Why are you calling?
Me: calm down, I just wanted to say goodbye since I didn't say it in the car
Brendon: oh ok, goodbye

I hung up the phone and Ashley had a weird expression on her face and then she screeched a little bit which made me laugh. The bell rang and me and Ashley looked at each others schedules turns out that we have al the same classes together

"Also you can't tell anyone about the Brendon thing, ok" I said
"Yeah I understand" she said

We wakes to our first class and we had music which I was really excited for cause you know I love music and I kind of have a musical dad.

"Alright class, we have a new student this year" the music teacher said as he pointed to me
"You wanna come up here and tell us about yourself" he said smiling
"sure" I said standing in the font of the class
"Well I'm from Seattle and was currently moved hear cause I was adopted and I was in a foster home for 4 years. My mom and brother died 4 years ago in a car crash from a drunk driver I was in the car but I survived as you can see and my dad died in the Army when I was 6. So yeah that's basically my life" I said smiling
"Well that's a tragic life" the teacher said
"Why don't you go take a seat next to Ashley" he said
"Alright class we are going to do a 1 day project since all of you have music for 2 periods in a row. Basically you have to get a partner and you have to learn a song an then you gotta sing it infront of the whole class" he said

A lot of the class groaned and me and Ashley looked at each other and nodded.

"What group will go first" he said

I looked over to Ashley

"You wanna go first" I whispered
"Sure" Ashley said smiling

I raised my hand

"Yes Madison" the teacher said
"Me and Ashley will go first" I said smiling
"Alright" he said smiling

Me and Ashley go up and started thinking of songs we could do

"I think I have one!" I said
"Do you know who Twenty One Pilots is" I asked
"Of course, that's like asking me if I know who Jesus is" she said giggling
"Do you know how to play ukelele?" I asked
"Yeah..." She said
"You wanna play 'House Of Gold' by Twenty one pilots?" I asked
"Sure!" She said

We practice and practiced until is was time to go up in the front and present.

"Alright we have Ashely and Madison up first with what song?" He said
"House Of Gold By Twenty One Pilots" I said

A few people cheered and a got a glare from a girl in the corner of the room. Well looks like I already have a hater. I smiled at way I said. We started singing

She asked me, "Son, when I grow old,
Will you buy me a house of gold?
And when your father turns to stone,
Will you take care of me?"

I will make you queen of everything you see,
I'll put you on the map,
I'll cure you of disease.

As we ended the song everyone cheered except the 'pretty' girl in the corner and her little friend.

"Well I already know what you guy are getting" the teacher did smiling

We got out of music an the rest of the was quick

•The end of the day•

I was at my locker packing and Ashely was beside me talking about something I wasn't really paying attention then mrs pretty girl came up to me and shoved me into the locker.

"Hey Madison" she said smirking
"Hey mrs. "Pretty girl"" I said air quoting pretty girl
"You better stop stealing my spotlight in music class" she said
"Oh you mean the one you never had?" I asked walking away from her Ashley following me

We walked outside and sat at the tree we kind of met at.

"Hey Ashley wanna come over and hang out" I asked
"Uhh yeah sure I gotta tell my mom first" she said
"I got tell Brendon too" I said

We both got out our phones and asked

Me: hey Beebo
Brendon: what
Me: can my friend come over
Brendon: sure
Me: alright thank you see you in a bit
Brendon: alright bye love you
Me: love you too

"Yeah it's ok if you come" I said
"Alright, I can come" Ashley said smiling

Me and Ashely talked while waiting for Brendon. After about 10 minutes Brendon showed up and me and Ashley walked over to the car and got in. Brendon looked at Ashley's shirt

"So you like Panic!" He said
"Brendon shut up" I said laughing
"I know who you are" Ashley said
"Well, what's your name" Brendon asked
"My named is Ashley Manju" she said
"Nice" he said

We drive home and we sang a lot of the songs on the radio (are ok, but my taste in music is your face. Oh the references)
