Chapter 29: we're getting another one

The next morning

Maia was up and for some reason she cooked breakfast.

Ross: hey Maia.

Maia: hey Ross. Can I ask you this?

Ross: yeah sure anything.

Maia: why are you up so early and not wearing any pants?

Ross: welli could ask you the same thing.

Maia gave him a "what" face.

Ross: the up so early thing not the pants thing.

Maia:(laughs) okay just answer the question.

Ross: I don't know really why I'm up but I know why I don't wear pants to bed its just uncomfortable.

Maia: Ross when are we ever gonna hang out again?

Ross: well we are right now.

Maia: (giggles) well help yourself I'm gonna go watch some reruns of the shows on Disney.

Ross: okay.

Vanessa came out the girls room. Her hair was a mess she was wearing batman pajama shorts and a batman hat.

Vanessa: hey guys.

Ross: woah what happened.

Vanessa: gee I couldn't have just got a "hey" or a "good morning" but if you must know I kinda slept on the floor.

Maia: why?

Vanessa: dougie took my spot on the bed with Laura.

Ross: oh.

Then dougie walked out the girls room and jumped on Vanessa lap ( Vanessa was sitting on the coach)

Vanessa: hi Dougie sweetie.

Ross: why are you taking care of dougie and not Ry.

Vanessa: Ry went to the lake house with his girlfriend. So I'm watching dougie.

Ross: oh okay.

Maia: Vanessa how come pant-less Ross doesn't phase you.

Vanessa: me and Laura have had a billion sleepovers with Rydel. We've seen a pant less Ross and a pant less Riker it doesn't phase me at this point.

Ross: well okay then. Nessa let me see dougie.

Vanessa: okay.

Vanessa gave dougie to Ross.

Dougie was scared and yelping and whimpering.

Maia: Ross you scaring him.

Ross: how?

Maia: I don't know.

Vanessa: hold on. Ross give me dougie.

Ross handed dougie to Vanessa.

Dougie stopped yelping and whimpering.

Vanessa: Maia come here.

Maia came to Vanessa and Vanessa gave dougie to Maia.

Dougie started whimpering and yelping again.

Maia: it seems he only likes you Nessa.

Ross: yeah. I guess he thinks of you as his mama.

Vanessa: awe that's adorable.

Ross and Maia started pouting.

Maia: it's not fair.

Ross: yeah he only like Vanessa and Ryland.

Maia: yeah.

Ross: I want a puppy.

Vanessa: of you guys want a puppy lets go out and buy one.

Maia: for real?

Vanessa: yes for real

Maia and Ross: Yay ( in little a kid voices)

On that note Vanessa left a note on the table and they left.

AT THE ANIMAL SHOP.

Maia: Ross look at this dog.

Ross: awe.

Vanessa: well which one do you want a the chihuahua, the Shiz tsu, or the beagle.

Ross and Maia: the Shiz tsu.

Vanessa: Okay let's go.

Ross and Maia: yay.( in little a kid voices)

Vanessa picked up the little dog and took it to the cash register.

Vanessa: we would like to adopt this dog.

Cashier: your Vanessa marano.

Vanessa: oh yeah.

Then Ross and Maia popes up from behind Vanessa.

Cashier: oh you 2 are gonna have to wait after miss marano.

Vanessa: they're with me.

Cashier: oh okay. A what do you wanna name her.

Ross and Maia: NYLA.

Cashier: okay Nyla it is now miss marano please sign here, here, and here.

Vanessa handed Ross Nyla.

Vanessa: okay.

She signed.

Cashier: okay that's gonna be 10 bucks.

Vanessa: okay.

Vanessa handed the guys 10 bucks.

Cashier: now here's her birth certificate and you are free to go.

Vanessa: lets go kids.

Ross and Maia: okay.

They left.
