We met in May,
A little after your birthday,
From all that I could see,
You'd always be there for me.
We hang out in June,
And I knew I'd see you soon.
But now I have a boyfriend,
So I don't like you, or so I pretend.
Soon it's July,
And I don't have to lie,
I love you like a brother,
And I wouldn't want any other.
School is coming by August,
And you're someone I've missed,
But soon I'll see you 5 times a week,
And those days I seek.
I'm with you in September,
And in my heart you leave an ember.
You sparked this little fire,
And it's you that I desire.
Now it's October,
And I like you for sure.
I break up with that guy,
And I am yours without any deny.
Throughout November,
It's you and me together.
Not dating yet,
But soon, I bet.
Late December,
A night to remember.
It was my birthday,
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
Early January
You said you loved me.
You're now my boyfriend,
And I'm finally your girlfriend.
Except in February,
Things get scary,
And before I can believe,
I watch you leave.
March in alone,
And my sadness isn't shown.
I've missed you since I watched you go,
But that's something you'd never know
It's April fools now,
I'll give you a bow,
Because you were sure
That you wouldn't fall for her
Back in May,
And might I say,
I'm not over you,
If only you knew.
A whole year has passed,
And we thought we could last.
But now we're barely even friends.
I guess this is the end.
It carries on to this day,
Cuz now its July,
There is no other way,
Because you were ready for goodbye.
