The four of us kids clambered upon the ship we arrived in, freezing cold despite our snow clothes protection.

"Look at my crystal! It's light blue!" Owec grinned. His turquoise skin made it look clear.

"So's mine!" Ejiksega giggled, as her lekku signed happily.

"I got purple!" Cunee laughed.

"No fair, you searched for a purple one so you could be like Master Windu!" Owec gently punched Cunee's arm.

"No! But purple is nearly impossible on Ilum, but I found one! I have to have a lot of discipline!"

"Yeah you do!"

"Mira, what color did you get?" Ejiksega scooted closer to me as I looked at mine.

"Green. " I smiled and showed her.

"Woah! That's big enough to be a double bladed lightsaber!" Cunee scanned it.

I grinned. "That's awesome!"

Ejik stood up, towering over the boys and me, obviously. "That's so amazing. I want to teach you Mira!"

"But you don't know double!"

"Then we'll learn. Together!"

The door to the front of the ship hissed open, and we all saw Yoda walk in. "You all are here. Go, now I must, for the temple needs me. Hmmmmmm." We watched as he climbed into a ship and left.

Zett came out. "You four ready to meet the lightsaber master?"

"YES!" All four of us giggled, and we followed him out into a new ship, where the lights slowly turned on as we made way to a door, to find an old humanoid droid in there.

I tilted my head as it turned on, seeing us. He walked to the counter. He looked old and semi rusted, but very good condition.

"What's this, another class of Jedi younglings? These can't be! They're too young." The droid exclaimed to Zett.

"Well, they are. They successfully passed their Gathering and obtained their crystals." Zett smiled.

"Yeah, see! I got a purple!" Cunee put his in the air.

"And we got blue!"

"And I got green." I smiled.

"What do we need the droid for Zett? I thought we were making out own lightsabers?"

"Excuse me, young one. I have a name, which is Huyang. From the Battles of Rashfond, to the Peacekeeping of Parliock, to our very own Clone Wars, the lightsaber is a Jedi's only true ally. But how do they work? Hmm? Yes, you have brought me crystals, but they're all useless unless you give them life. Do you know how to awaken the Force within the crystal? No? Then I suggest you listen and learn, until you think of a question this droid cannot answer. Now let's see. Let's start with you." He pointed to Owec. "What do you feel in your hand?"

"A shifter! Where it's silver and with little strands of ..."

"Not what you want. What you feel in your hand, with the force. Use the force to feel what you would be acquaintanced with for the rest of your life. The lightsaber that was literally made for you."

Owec looked confused, before looking at his crystal. Holding out his hand, in a cupping position, he slowly closed his eyes.

"I feel... A lightweight. With most of the balance in the center of my hand. A curve, and... A grip. Definitely waterproof." He opened his eyes and looked at Huyang.

"Very good. Now... Let's see..." The droid started digging through drawers.

"Nope. Not there. Oh that's where my spare monocle went! Let's see... Ah ha!" He came back with a drawer with lightsaber parts exactly as Owec described.

Owec blinked and reached out to touch it. "It's... Exactly as I saw." He smiled excitedly, his black eyes reflecting the light from the ceiling.

"The Force never lies." Huyang's eyes seemed to smile.

"Me next!" Ejiksega went forward, and did the same as Owec. "I feel... A heavy weight. Rough metal. Some sort of attachment.... And... Three buttons..."

Once again, Huyang scrambled around the drawers, mumbling to himself. He soon returned with a case of a silver and bronze lightsaber with three blue buttons.

"Me next." Cunee bounced excitedly. "Hmmm.... First thing I feel is... Strong. And a grip. A hook for hanging. Very smooth. Has a band, no, an opening in the middle."

Once more, the droid scrambled, and found it quicker than the first two.

"Mira?" Zett gently nudged me forward to the front of the table. "Your turn."

"You're the smallest of all of your companions. How old are you?" Huyang asked.

"Four." I blinked.

"Four?! I swear you children keep getting younger and younger!"

"She's the top of our class!" Ejiksega giggled and hugged me, us being like sisters ever since I could talk.

"Is she now? Well, what do you feel, Mira?"

"Well..." I closed my eyes, and focused. But felt nothing. Then realized that it was featherweight.

"It's... Really really really light. Like a feather. Smooth, a ball like thing for crystal, some sort of design. Two buttons... And.... A hook." I opened my eyes. I looked at the old droid.

He started fumbling around the drawers, before placing a drawer with a silver lightsaber parts, that had parts exactly as I described. There was a design and it was gold, black, and green in some parts. It was clearly a double lightsaber.

"Now let's get constructing."

He lead us to another room and put schematics up for a basic lightsaber, and told us, "Use the force and let it guide you. And do it slowly and exactly as it tells you. One did explode before on the owner."

We listened, and closed our eyes, having the pieces hover as we tried to feel how they went together. How the crystals would power them.

Ejiksega finished hers first, having the simplest schematics and the strongest connection to her crystal. Powering it on, she waved the blue blade around excitedly, careful to not hit us. "Look! I am a Jedi Guardian!" She beamed and swiped it around happily.

Then we heard a hiss as Owec's powered on. "Me too!" He grinned, the glowing blade alone almost as tall as me.

I looked at mine and tried to focus more, as mine was more complex to put together. I struggled to keep it steady as I slid the crystal into the chamber, then double checked the wirings.

I heard Cunee's power up as he cheered excitedly, waving the purple blade around and nearly hitting a lamp.

I knew I could not rush it. It had to be done slowly.

Tuning out the other younglings, I tried to focus on my lightsaber. I inserted the power cells, and twisted on the two blade emitting rings. Then I put on the outer casing and made sure they were screwed on tight before putting it down onto the table, opening my eyes.

Gingerly, I scooped it up and took a deep breath before powering on the top half, then the bottom half. I heard them both hiss , a panel sliding away from the bottom half to let the secret second blade out, giving my the option to use one or both of the green blades.

I looked in awe at it, seeing the other children beaming with excitement at the sight of it.

We did it. We had our lightsabers.

The four of us and Zett climbed into the ship for him to take us back to Coruscant, as I beamed in awe and excitement, transfixed on my lightsaber.

No more training lightsabers for me.

I had a blade of a Consular Jedi.
