I was meditating, focusing on the past as I felt a sudden pull and overwhelming pain a closeby. I gasped for breath and clutched my chest, breathing heavily.

I death gripped my meditating chair and tried to regain my senses.

There was a slight knock and Wen came in. "Hey Mira, sorry to bother you when you are meditating, but I need some... Help... Oh my goodness Mira! Are you ok?!" He saw that I was in pain and raced to my side as I convulsed, tears gushing down my face in shiploads.

"S-so much pain a-and death...." Wailing under my breath, I felt Wen pull me into his arms. I heard messages beep from Owec, Ejiksega, Cunee, and Amalia. My head throbbed, my heart even more so.

The Force had suddenly cried out before suddenly being silenced.

Wen stroked my back as Z and Gor came in. "Wen, come on, Anoles is getting impatient... Mi?" Z saw my tears.

Wen looked up at them. "Something happened. She needs a while."

Greenie suddenly rolled in and beeped frantically, and I caught it, jumping from Wen's arms and raced to the pit where Anoles had tuned into an Empire radio channel, as they were broadcasting a message.

"Alderaan has been destroyed. I repeat, Alderaan has been destroyed."

I nearly collapsed as Wen caught me. "What was it that it said Anoles?" He asked saddened as he sat me in a chair, seeing the effect of the Force as it filled me with emptiness and overwhelming grief.

"That Alderaan was destroyed... But... How? How could the Empire destroy Alderaan? And why? They were a peaceful planet who did what they wanted." Anoles was awestruck and terrified. If they had the tech and the means to destroy a planet in one fell swoop, then what chance did we have against them? Or any rebels or the Rebellion?

"I think Mira felt it before they even knew." Z sat down and gently held me.

"Mi, you ok now?" Wen knelt down and put his hand on my knee, his lapis blue eyes looking flint colored with worry and sorrow.

I nodded shakily after slowly controlling my breathing, but still unable to control my tears.

"Hold on, we are getting a message on the channel that you gave us Wen." Anoles changed the channel and we listened.

"The Empire has gone too far. Hours ago, the Battle of Scarif was won by the Alliance. Minutes ago, the Empire used a new weapon of mass destruction to destroy the peaceful planet of Alderaan. It is time to end the Empire, before even more lives are lost. The Rebellion is calling for all available pilots and Rebels to come and assist in taking down the unknown monstrous weapon. " Someone spoke on the other side, broadcasting to a secret Rebellion only frequency that Wen had obtained from some of his old allies who were there. "If you are listening, and you wish to assist, the forest of the stars and mist is awaiting you." The signal cut out.

"The forest of stars and mist.... Yavin Four." Wen quickly solved the puzzle mentally, knowing where some of the Rebel bases were, but only a few.

"How do you know?"

"Stars, they mean moon. A forest of mist is a forest on a gassy. The only base they have is on Yavin Four, a moon of Yavin that is a gassy forest."

We sat in silence before Anoles spoke up. "So, what do we do? Do we go?"

"Well, we kinda have to. Otherwise we will be breaking our code." Z shrugged.

"I'm in." Wen nodded as Gor chortled that he wanted to help.

"Let's do this." Z nodded as Greenie beeped and squealed. Khau shrieked into Anoles's ear as he jumped onto her shoulder.

"Mira? You want to join us?" Anoles asked me, as the others looked at me.

I sat quietly for a second, before nodding. "They took innocent lives and might take more. I lost one of my families. I won't lose another."

Wen smiled softly. "Then let's go." He got up from his crouched position, and headed to the control panel, putting in coordinates, and was about to jump into hyperspace before Anoles swatted his hand.

"Hands off my baby."

"You mean our baby." He gave a flirty wink before chuckling.

Anoles rolled her eyes and switched us into hyperspace.

Z, Gor, and I left the room as Wen and Anoles bickered about the controls.

"Come on Gor. Let's get supplies ready." Z lead him away.

I headed to my room and looked at my pictures on the walls that I had drawn and taken over the years.

There was a picture of me and Amalia, and an even older one of me and Aslan. One of Asha teaching me Basic Sign Language so I could understand him, then of Amalia teaching me how to fight more with my saber. I smiled softly.

Then there was one Cunee, Ejiksega, and Owec and me when we were younglings next to one from when we saw each other last.

There were paintings and drawings I had saved from the temple, having been shoved into my bag in seconds while escaping with Amalia. Ones that I had drawn and that my old friends who were troopers had drawn.

I gently put my hand on the pictures, and closed my eyes. I wasn't only fighting for them, for the people I cared about, but also for the Universe.

I felt the ship ease out of Hyperspace just as my door opened.

I looked to see Wen. "You doing ok kiddo?"

"I'm not a kid anymore Wen." I sighed.

"Sorry, madam I'm an adult, 23 years old and all. You will always be kid. But that doesn't change my question. Are you ok?"

"Mentally or physically?"

"Both."

"Physically, I just feel sore. Emotionally, drained." I sighed and picked up my saber and stared at it."I feel like I failed so many. That I could have done something to stop it, or at least saved some."

Wen sighed and gently hugged me. "I know. I wish so too. But now we have a chance to join the Rebellion to stop whatever the Empire built now."

I buried my face in his shoulder armor. "I just I could have done something..."

"We all do." He hugged tighter, then let go once I started letting go. "Now come on. We need our Jedi, the littlest of our crazy family. " He teased and ruffled my hair that I had finally managed to calm.

"If anyone is the littlest, it's Khau." I pushed him away from my hair and tried to tame it.

He laughed. "Size wise yes. Now come on, let's go kick some Empire butt." He grinned and walked out as I noticed his old Clone helmet under his arm.

"Going in guns ablazing?"

"You betcha."

I laughed and followed him to where Z and Gor were waiting, looking out a window at the droves of ships that were arriving around us at we headed down towards the moon of Yavin.
