Chapter 3 - Bookstore

Josh got in his car and drove around. It had been 30 minutes. He was starting to lose hope until he saw a car that looked like Maya's in his rear view mirror. He turned around. She was sitting at a table outside of a bookstore  that she had parked her car at. She was staring at a bird on the ground. He sat down beside her and she didn't move. "Maya." He said. "Leave." She told him. "Maya." He said sternly. "Josh, how could you?" She finally asked, hurt. He sat closer to her and she stood up. He put his hand up for her to hold and sit down. "Maya, please." He said softly. She slowly took his hand and sat down. "Maya. I was just a little shook. You kind of just said it and I froze. I know it won't seem like it. But, I have spent these last two years trying to get you out of my mind. All I thought about was the moment we would be ready. I would give you this long speech about how much I liked you and then..." He trailed off. "Then..." She started. He leaned in closer to her. He parted his lips on hers and closed. He softly sucked on her lips. She kissed him back, softly biting his bottom lip. He pulled back and wiped her tear with his thumb. She buried her head in his chest. He held her tightly. "Thank you." She said. He held her tighter.
