Dear Alex,

I want to know if it's mean to point out if a boy has an erection? My brother, who is 15 yrs old, really likes my best friend and she came over today, and he had an erection. My best friend said, "Kyle, you have a boner." out loud, in front of my 18 yr old brother, 13 yr old and 14 yr old sisters and my parents. My best friend is 17 btw. My brother became bright red and almost cried. I feel really bad for him. So, was it rude of her to point it out? And also, my brother is extremely embarrassed to talk to anyone, (he isn't the type to get embarrassed easily, he's very out-going), how can I get him to forget about it? Thank you.

Dear Jessica,

hm.. well uhm.. I'd say it's not very nice to just say it out loud like that.. I mean.. I'd like tap him on the shoulder and be like "uhm look down" or something like that haha What she did is embarrassing and I'm not sure he will forget that haha But I will say that you can just comfort him on how it's natural for those things to happen and you shouldn't feel that way and no one is making fun of you and so on. Just don't point out anything negative and no one should point out it anymore or say something about it  haha And I'm sure he will be okay.
