Avia

I walk downstairs to the kitchen and find everyone at the small table by the window. I take a seat as mom passes me a plate of eggs and cut up pancakes.

"Mornin sweet girl." Mom says, kissing my head. I smile and quietly sigh. Brock doesn't even have his pancakes cut up.

Dad walks in and kisses all of us. He tickles me. I laugh and push him away more roughly than I usually do. He raises an eyebrow.

"We got a new growing daughter Colettentitus! She's got the sass!"He chuckles. I groan and eat a few pieces. He and mom laugh.

"Hey kiddos, we have some information." Dad says.

"What dad?" Gavin asks.

"We are....moving." Mom says quietly. I look up and widen my eyes.

"When?!" Gavin and I ask at the same time.

"Mid June." Mom says.

"But mom! It's almost May!" I say, crossing my arms. Mom sighs.

"I know sweet pea. I'm sorry you have to leave your friends." She says bending down to my height.

"I hate you guys! Why can't we stay in California! Just leave me ALONE!" I shout, storming out, knocking over a glass vase. I race upstairs in tears. I slam my door.

I run to my pillow and throw my face in like a cliché girl movie. I sigh and sit up and pull my knees to my chest. I hear a knock then footsteps. I didn't even say come in.

"I'm sorry Princess." I look up to see mom. She sits on me bed and pulls me in a hug.

"I'm not moving." I mumble. Mom sighs again and rubs my back.

"C'mon sweet girl, cheer up. You can meet new friends and everything. I shake my head.

"I love my friends here!" I stamper. Mom smiles softly and runs her hands through my hair.

"I'm sorry but we will make it work, okay?" I sigh and nod.

"But I won't make friends there." I pout.

"You will Av. You are my social butterfly. You are so sweet and funny. I know you can." Mom. comforts. I sigh.

Maybe.
