I sat down, looking at the water from the fountain. Seeing my reflection, I sighed. I look normal.. but I'm not. I took out a coin from my pocket. I don't know if this actually works, but I've seen everyone do it. But then again.. I'm not like everyone. I stared at my reflection for a few more moments. What do I have to lose? I looked at the sky, wanting a star to appear, but sadly, it wasn't night yet. I gripped the coin in my hand tighter, closing my eyes.

"I wish... I wish I could be normal.. or at least treated normally, even for just a short time.." And with that said, I threw my coin in the fountain. I smiled for no apparent reason. I don't know why, but I think this could be a great day.

Sadly, I spoke too soon.

All of a sudden, something hit me. And I don't mean a realization or an idea hit me, no. Something literally hit my head. My hand flew up to the right side of my head. What is it with that right side today? It's like every bad luck comes from that side. I looked around, trying to find whatever hit me. Then I saw a football. Seriously? That hurt me?!

"Oh sorry! I didn't mean to hit you." a voice said. I looked up to see a blonde boy about 19. He had a sweet smile on his face and bright blue eyes.

"I'm really sorry." he apologized. I just stared at him with a blank expression.

This is going to be a long day.

Riley's at it again. It's February and his bitterness comes out. I was in the park with Toby, while Riley was nowhere to be found. My guess is he's probably at Starbucks.

"Dude, we gotta do something about Riley." I said, holding a football.

"I know.. But what?" Toby sighed.

We've been trying to figure out a way to get rid of Riley's bitterness for Valentine's Day. We don't really know why he hates it so much, but I think it's mainly because of his ex girlfriend.

"Maybe we could set him up with someone?" I suggested.

"Yeah, like that would work." Toby said sarcastically. "We already tried that, remember?"

"Yeah, but that was a blind date. I was thinking maybe we could set him up with someone and he'll believe they met because fate brought them to be together." I said dramatically.

"I don't know.." Toby chuckled. "Isn't that kinda mean? We make him believe in fake fate?"

"He needs to stop being bitter!" I insisted.

"Well.." He trailed off.

"Worth a try, right?" I said.

"Do you know someone?" He asked. I thought about it for a moment.

"Yeah! She works at Starbucks! I'll call her now." I said, getting my phone out.

"Hello?" Cynthia answered. Cynthia is 16 and a good friend of mine. We haven't talked for so long, but I still remember her telling me she had a crush on Riley.

"Cynthia! Been long, huh?" I said.

"Connor! Haha.. yeah. How are you?" she asked.

"Just fine.. I kinda need your help." I said.

"Sure, what is it?" She said.

"Riley needs a date and I was wondering if you would go out with him so--" she cut me off.
