Chapter 41

I was twisting and turning in the bed uncomfortably for past an hour but sleep was nowhere near me. The street light were the only source of lightning, illuminating the dark room. I bounced on my spot when i heard a sudden cry of the dog from outside. It would be a lie if i say i wasn't scared,every other minute i feel that ghost would appear from any corner of the room or from under the bed. I closed my eyes at the mare thought pulling up the duvet closer to my face.

After few moments to myself when i was about to sleep,i heard footsteps coming from outside.I let out a slow gasp when i fell the door knob of my room twisted. Sweat beads started forming on my forehead when i imagined being bitten by a beast that would appear in my face any moment. I prayed what came in my mouth the moment i felt something coming closer to me,i quickly reached for a switch when the bed dipped near me. The only thing i could think of doing was screaming and right when i was about to,i heard a voice

"Saman,main hoon" Iram's it was

"Iram? Tum?" i said sitting straight on my bed,panting.I felt she reached for the lamp and switched on the light.She was grinning at me

"Tum ne dara diya mujhe" i say and she laughs "sorry"

"Tum kar kya rahi thi wese?" I narrowed my eyes at her

"Tumhe lene aayi thi" she told making me frown

"Hum bahir jarahe hain,kulfi khaane" she beamed

"Kya? Itni raat ko?" I asked in disbelief

"Uff ho,it's just 12" she carelessly shakes her head while mine went wide

"No way..main nahi aarahi aur tum bhi nahi jarahi akele" i stated firmly

"Hum akele thori jarahe hain,Sain aur Shehry neeche hamara wait karrahe hain..chalo na Saman" she pulls my hand.My eyes now went dangerously wide

"You are kidding, right?" I chuckle asking,hoping she would say Yes

"No,yaqeen nahi aaraha toh khud dekhlo" she dragged me towards the window and my jaw dropped an inch when i actually saw Hussain and Shehryaar in the car

"Itni thand main kulfi kaun khata hai?" I asked horrified when i had to clear the window to see the clear view

"Thand me hi toh khaane ka maza hai" she stated,enthusiastically

"Ab chalein?" she raised her brows at me

"Iram,meri baat suno..agar uncle aunty ko pata chalgaya toh?" I asked and she rolls her eyes

"Bacho ki tarah react mat karo,mama aur papa dono sorahe hain and this is not the first time we are sneaking out" she winks at me.I sighed giving up and picked up the random stole from the cup board and my purse before leaving the room with her

We slipped down the stairs hand in hand, cautiously and tip toed towards the front door when light illuminated the whole area sticking my foot on the spot,halting both of us
