Chapter 17

Melodie's POV:

"Here's your room key miss." The young man at the desk said, sliding the plastic card across the marble counter. "Enjoy your stay." He gave me a sympathetic look, considering my face was red from crying.

"T-Thank you." I say, forcing a smile. I take the card, and pick up my bag from the ground. I walk over to the elevator, and press the button for the fifth floor. The elevator had a glass wall, letting me look over the city as I rose through the air. I watched cars drive past, until my eyes grew to a crowd of people on the sidewalk. I pressed the stop button, trying to see the reason of the commotion.

Aaron.

All of the boys were running down the sidewalk. Fans screaming and chasing them down the pavement. I saw Cameron turn, and let the crowd of girls engulf him. He was the diversion. And it worked, as all the boys continued to run until they reached the hotel doors. I froze, and quickly pressed the up button.

They came for me. They are looking for me. I pressed the floor button again, as my heart started to beat out of my chest. Finally the doors opened and I burst out of them, running down the hall. I looked down at the key in my hand, and started to run faster looking for my room number. I found it, and quickly swiped my card.

Denied access.

I swiped it again. Then a loud crash echoed down the hallway, as Aaron burst through the stairwell door. We made eye contact and he started to run. I swiped again, and if clicked.

"Melodie!"

I pushed open the door, and slipping inside. Closing it tightly behind me, and locking it quickly. I covered my mouth with my right hand as a sob broken through my lungs. I heard Aaron come to a stop by the door, and slide down the length of it. I could see the shadow of him under the door, as tried to catch his breath.

"Mel?" He sobbed.
