04. | [white day]

I was singing the song of EXO's latest comeback and cleaning their dorm. It's been two weeks since they left for promotions and performances, another famous girl group was in Japan and three others were in China, so life was pretty quiet recently. Seo-Yoon and I had to admit we were bored working in the empty dorms. The idols usually gave me headaches and I still would never admit it out loud even to her, but I missed them.

Seo-Yoon spent most of her working hours hiding in our tiny supply closet and practicing for her next audition, while I was doing her jobs and making sure everything stayed clean and under control. I admired her for her persistence in chasing her dreams. She loved music just as much as I did and she constantly failed on auditions at different entertainment groups, but she still never give up. She barely came back crying from one of them before she quickly drank her sadness away and started training for the next one.

We both had no money and were struggling to survive through the month, but there was a difference between us. She still had the willpower and strength to try to fight and do something about it. She believed she was worth more than being just a cleaning lady, while I already gave up on a better life. If it wouldn't be for her asking me if I wanted to join her group, I would never even start dancing again.

'' Is that our new song that I hear? ''

I turned around with surprise and grinned at the sight of Sehun walking through the entrance of the dorm. '' You know that EXO is my least favorite kpop group. Now come here, noodle. I may have missed you a little. ''

I opened my arms and we happily hugged each other. When we stepped apart another person came running to the door with an excited cheer: '' Free hugs! ''

I put my hand on Baekhyun's forehead and pushed him back when he tried to hug me. I watched with surprise when he happily skipped around the room. '' We are finally free for a while! I can't wait to eat fried chicken again, go watch the cherry blossoms, go to the Namsan tower and a lot of other fun things! ''

I cringed when he started laughing like a madman, while Sehun leaned towards me and seriously murmured: '' He hasn't slept for a little bit more than two days. I think he is starting to become delusional. ''

Life quickly became loud and lively when EXO returned to the dorms and it didn't take long before I started asking myself why did I ever miss them in the first place. There was instantly so much more work to do and drama to deal with and it was especially wild on White Day. It was a couple holiday here in South Korea and I was stuck ironing shirts, judging gifts and pickup lines and consoling the ones who were lonely dogs like me and had no loved one to be with.

I was sitting in the reception room, trying to fix a torn up dress of a girl that was getting ready for her date and eating chocolates when I saw Baekhyun step out of the elevator. I glanced in his direction and my eyes slightly widened with surprise when I noticed how dressed up he was. His black hair was falling down on his forehead in the front, he was wearing a black suit and there was a tie hanging on his neck. My mouth was full of chocolates when he turned his head in my direction and proudly grinned. '' I am going on a date. ''

I thoughtfully chewed and stuffed some more chocolates in my mouth.

'' Why are you looking at me like that? ''

I swallowed the chocolate and smirked when I walked up to him. He seemed surprised when I undid his tie and shook my head. Then I started to tie it properly and said: '' I am surprised you managed to get a date when you can't even properly tie your tie. Were you really going to leave looking like that? Do you want to get some action or not? ''

He frowned and looked away with embarrassment. I noticed he was staring at the mountains of chocolates by my side. '' You have a surprising amount of admirers, Seol. ''
