"Yeah, no, I don't fit in here." I murmur in Niall's ear, as he leads me by the arm toward a group of men.
"Neither do we, trust me." Niall whispers in my ear, as the men's eyes land on us and they yell out their 'hellos,' to Niall. He's the one who is showing me around, as Harry disappeared the minute we entered this huge penthouse. I smile at the group of people.
"Hola!" Niall greets them all, grinning. "Dave, long time no see!" He lets go of my hand and opens his arms to embrace Dave, I'm presuming. Me, being the highly awkward person that I am, just stand there, shuffling from foot to foot.
"And who might you be?" A man asks, passing Niall, and stopping in front of me.
"Ah, guys, this is Mus. She's Harry's girlfriend, so you all better back off." Niall says, waving toward me with his hand.
"Hi," a chorus of voices floods my ears.
"Hey," I murmur. God, I cannot make this more awkward.
"I'm Leo," the man standing in front of me introduces himself. "I already know your name, beautiful." He winks at me.
"Leo, back off!" Niall intervenes. His eyes give off a clear warning, making Leo raise his hands, as if to say he means no harm.
"It's all good, Niall." Leo says, grinning. "Just playing around." Niall rolls his eyes, and turns his attention back to Dave.
"Care to join me till the bar?" Leo says, offering me his arm. There's no harm in making new friends.
"Why not?" I say, shrugging my shoulders. I slide my arm through his. "But let me tell you a secret; I'm not allowed to drink. Nineteen." Leo sighs, nodding his head.
"How could I have not guessed? I should get used to Harry's interest in women of odd ages," Leo says. I frown, scrunching my brows.
"Age is just a number, as you must've heard before." My tone comes out sharper than I would like. But I hate such small minded people.
"Feisty!" Leo lets out a low whistle. "Pardon my small-mindedness." I roll my eyes as subtly as I can manage.
"If you think this nonchalant attitude is cute, it's not. I'm sorry for being such a bitch, but please don't take what I just said as a joke." Leo looks at me solemnly for a second and then nods his head.
"Of course. I'll be more careful with my words next time," Leo agrees. "On a much lighter note, what'd you like to drink?" We've approached the bar, and Leo pulls out a bar stool, gesturing for me to sit. I oblige.
"A Coke would be nice, thank you." I smile at him, though I already want to leave his company.
"How's everything going?" Harry whispers in my ear, coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist. I move my head slightly to the left, and he nuzzles his nose in the crook of my neck.
"Good." I murmur, relishing the feeling of Harry's lips and nose buried in my neck. I can feel him smile, as Leo places my drink in front of me.
"Hi, Harry." Leo says, smiling. There's a hint of something in Leo's smile that I can't decipher. It's almost fake.
"Hmm..." Harry murmurs, lifting his head. The minute his eyes land on Leo, a frown adorns his face. "Leo. Didn't know you'd be here." Leo lifts his arms outwards.
"Well, here I am." Leo sighs, smiling too sweetly. "You've hit a jackpot, my friend." Leo winks at Harry, his eyes traveling over to me.
"I am one lucky man, but she is mine. Don't even try," Harry's tone is filled with warning. An exchange takes place between the two men. However, I don't completely understand what's going on between them. Yes, I can tell that they're not on the best of terms. But why? Leo isn't the type of person I think Harry would socialize with. Heck, I'd never socialize with him.
"I'm gonna go and meet Hale." Leo says, taking his drink off the bar and making his way away from us.
"Bump, I know you'll think I'm acting jealous, but I'm serious when I say this; don't socialize with Leo." Harry says, pouting.
"You don't have to tell me twice." I say, rolling my eyes. Harry gets onto the stool in front of me, and wraps his arms around my waist.
"You're beautiful and smart, have I mentioned it before?" Harry asks, his eyes trailing over my lips.
"No, but you can begin now." I murmur, goosebumps rising on my arms.
"How about we begin praising you tonight, in our room?" Harry's tone is seductive and it's working wonders for me down there.
"I don't think I'd mind that, Styles."
"Harry!" A man's loud voice booms, interrupting our moment. "Been looking for you." I move back, and turn to face the bar. Harry sighs, and turns around. He's probably cursing the poor man for interrupting us. "Come with me! The others have been dying to see you." I turn my head just in time to see Harry offer me a sheepish smile, as his arm is being tugged by the man. I lend him a small wave, and he turns around, smiling. The stool beside me - on which Harry was sitting mere seconds ago - is pulled back and a woman, decked in jewelry and wearing a golden gown, sits down.
"One martini," she tells the bartender. The glitter and sequins on her dress are catching the light, making them sparkle. "I've never seen you here before, love." I look up from the bottom of her dress to be met by a pair of dazzling grey eyes.
"I've never been to such an event before," I admit.
"Ah," she murmurs. "Who're you with, then?"
"Harry Styles," I say simply. I thought of her to be a nice lady, until now. The minute I said Harry's name, she gave me the 'stare.' The same stare that I've been getting throughout high school. The stare where a person looks at you, as if you don't belong. I hate it. Her eyes sweep from my head till my feet, and then she scoffs, ever so gently.
"Here you are!" Another woman yells, coming over. She gives me a sickly sweet smile and then turns to the woman sitting in front of me. "Hale has brought company and they're c-u-t-e." She makes sure to pronounce cute in a highly annoying, and chirpy tone.
"She's with Harry." Lady number one says, nodding her chin in my direction. Lady number two turns around and arches her eyebrow, as if she can't believe the fact. Dismissively, she waves her hand in front of my face.
"Harry and his charity cases." Lady number two says, huffing. "Won't last long." She takes her friend's hand and pulls her off the stool. "Enjoy this," lady number two says, waving her hand around the place. "While it lasts. Because it won't last long." They turn around and stop dead in their tracks. I turn my stool to see what's shocked them so damn much. Harry is standing in front of them, lips pursed.
"I'm not like Burt, who's in between another woman's legs every single day. In fact, I think I saw him near the entrance corridor with Sam...it looked like they were having a blast." Harry says, his tone solemn and face straight. "Before judging other people's relationships, maybe you should look into your own." Woman number one's mouth falls open and woman number two opens her mouth, as if to say something and then shuts it. They both march past Harry. The minute they're out of earshot, Harry doubles over, laughing.
"Harry, that was nice and not nice at the same time." I say, getting off the stool. He entwines our arms, and begins to lead me away from the bar.
"Did you see their faces?" Harry chuckles, shaking his head. "I know it was mean of me to do so. However, a fact is a fact. They both knew it. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they've both slept with the same guy."
"God, you're evil." I smack his arm, laughing.
"No one messes with my girl, except me." Harry presses his head against mine. "I think we've both had enough of this party, let's head home."
"Agreed." A yawn escapes my lips, proving just how tired I am.
"I was hoping we could stay up late today, but I guess we'll have to make plans for tomorrow night." Harry sighs, as if he's really disappointed, which I'm sure he is.
"Tomorrow," I murmur, placing my head on his shoulder.

A/N: I'm so sorry that I didn't update for a week, but I was out of the country. Then, cause I felt really bad and because I got a lot of update requests, I quickly wrote a chapter and published it. So please forgive me for updating late, and I'll try my best to never let it happen again. The new semester has started as well, and I'm already drowning in the workload. Still, I'll try my best to update as frequently as possible. Thank you for your patience, guys. And of course, thanks a bunch for voting and commenting because it definitely gives me the motivation to write more. Thanks a bunch, I highly appreciate it. Stay safe and take care xx.
